  1. JA taking the opportunity to rotate and/or rest. Meeuwis deserves a start, and Thommo's playing his 200th, so no chance he'd be dropped.Fred's too valuable to leave out completely, so there's no room for Germano on the bench. He can use the rest anyway. Gerhardt isn't really needed either. Vranks will do a solid job.

I'm sorry but this isn't the week to be resting

We lose we kiss our finals chance goodbye

Germano was our best player last week and Gerhardt has been our most consistent performer this season

If it is for resting then JA is a idiot and really would have lost me

  2. That performance was the shittest performance I've ever seen from the heart. If we weren't playing a team as shit as the fucking yellow turds, we would have lost 5-0.

And those supporters (I refuse to call them commentators) just make it sooo much worse. They are in now way commentators as all they do is just wet themselves when ifill touches it and shit themselves when heart get in their attacking halves. LEARN TO BE UNBIASED!!

I hate them, im sure we all remember when GolGol scored that magical free kick and they couldnt be anymore disappointed

  3. This is a HUGE opportunity for Melbourne Heart. I can't see Newcastle winning in Wellington or Melbourne this week. Given the performances of Perth lately, i wouldn't be surprised if Sydney drew over there or even lost. Brisbane will also be doing it tough in Adelaide.

This could be the round that we really put pressure on the other three teams and make them chase us for a finals spot.

I honestly can't see Newcastle making finals given their two aforementioned fixtures, i can see them getting zero or perhaps one point out of six. If we get a result here and bring something back from our trip to Brisbane, i think we'll be very good odds to make the finals. A huge two weeks, and a huge match.

You make some good points about how important this week's game is to us,

But lets not forget just like the other teams attempting to make up the numbers in the finals we also have some tough matches on our road home too:

Mainly CCM in Gosford and WSW at Home will not be easy either...

I don't think any of our matches are easy for rest of year

Wellington isn't an easy place to go

Adelaide are a top 4 side

    WSW are top 2 side

Brisbane have quality, and it's there

    CCM to finish off

Most value for the club would be someone famous for their time in the EPL, which is without doubt the most well known comp to Aussies, OR someone with genuine World Cup pedigree.

We need someone who has shown great loyalty to their past club(s) and someone who is getting to a stage where they are not going to be able to continue at the highest level. They probably will need to have retired from international football, or have no chance of playing in the World Cup.

Giggs, Scholes, Totti, Drogba, Henry, Forlan, Djibril Cisse, Anelka, John Terry, Klose, Dirk Kuyt, Gattuso, just to name a few...

What about someone like Jamie Carragher??

Bit of an odd one since he ain't an attacking marquee like the usual, but he's already has announced his retirement at seasons end and i think he'd pull in the crowds and would be still quality on the park.

Loyal to his club and a club great at Liverpool

Carra would be highly unlikely, i think he gave everything to Liverpool and wanted to be his only club

Also his son is in the under 14s academy at melwood. So cant see him pulling him out of that to travel half way across the world
