Do you really have that much confidence that JVS will beat Popovic in a finals game?

Popovic won the Asian Champions League with a NPL side.

JVS throws games any time the pressure is on.

Granted we are far superior on current form, but in a one off finals game I think WSW are a good chance to beat us TBH.

I think the team has demonstrated in recent weeks they're mentally capable

I'm still not 100% convinced he'll leave us - perhaps that's wishful thinking, but that's my view. He'll be 26 before next A-League season starts, as you say he's on a 3-year contract, he has a wife/partner and baby daughter, if he stays with us he'll play every match for which he's able to walk onto the ground, and IMO CFG will match any sensible salary that another club might offer (although not megabucks, as they've already said). Just as Txiki Begiristain said, both Aaron Mooy and Bruno Fornaroli are "big players who will become big names."

Mooy will be 28 or so at the next World Cup, and as you say, he needs football to maximise his international prospects. So far he's shown that he's got his head screwed on, and IMO he's going to think very carefully about his future and not just jump into a bigger pond.

He'd also want to maximise his earnings in his prime years

Their egos? The good of the game has to lie in the same direction as what is good for the owners in the competition. Or else eventually you don't have any owners. Owners aren't blank check books. The fact that guys like Sage are still around running clubs at massive loses to me is amazing. The FFA would be fucked if people like him weren't such tragics.

A-league loses are child's play compared to football worldwide. Make no mistake FFA wants whats best for the game overall and that generally means more revenue for all levels of the game

I think video review for yellow cards etc after a match to either rescind or initiate the decision, to stamp out "acting"

I think of situations like Laurent Blanc missing the 1998 World Cup final due to someone diving and Blanc missing because of wrongly receiving a Yellow card

or Rivelino's acting when being hit in the thigh by a ball , then clutching his face , which led to a Turkish player being sent off

a match review, and fines or match bans would help clear up the "simulation" in the game

AS for stopping the match for video review, no I 'm not in favour

Rivaldo didnt dive, its illegal to kick a ball at someone regardless of whether they exaggerate that contact
