Could've easily had more than the 9 yellows that were dished out. Dier should've seen red late on, Dembele will get 3 games and Lamela will probably also face retrospective action for walking on Fabregas' hand. I can't think of a recent game where there were so many shit tackles from a wide variety of players.

It's like they went out there to out-Chelsea Chelsea.

And Costa should have been red carded before all that in the first half. Do you honestly think we were proactively going out there just to behave like that? The game was out of control in the first half. Dembele's action happened at half time when we were up 2-0, so there was no reason besides provocation for that to happen. Yeah it was a dog act and his season is finished, but geez, people are acting like Chelsea are just an innocent party!

Christ, even Andy Maher is crapping on about how dirty we were, and was asking if we played like that all season. No Andy, in fact only last week we were talked about as being the best team to watch this season. Thanks for finally mentioning us though, dickhead!

They did and Spurs were never going to win at the Bridge, even at 2-0 down I had a feeling we would pull it back. Too much hatred for Tottenham not to stop them winning the league

Our slender chance of winning the league was lost last week. To be honest, I'm surprised Terry didn't have a Leicester kit on underneath. We all know how much he loves celebrating with teams he's not involved in!

So you are excusing eye gouging and horrendous tackles because the ref didn't do his job?

TBH I'm just glad they've fucked their biggest oppertunity in half a century.

    '61 and never again

I'm not excusing eye gouging, Dembele was an idiot. And as far as the tackles go, I've seen plenty worse than them. My point was there was a reason that all happened and to pinpoint us as the dirty team is a joke! To quote Martin Tyler, "Chelsea played their part".

9 individual players with yellow cards, a new league record. Your head is deeply burried in the sand on this one.

No it's not. We lost our heads this morning, but most of those yellows came in the second half.

In the first half Costa put a forearm and then a forehead into vertonghen's face but didn't even cop a yellow! There were numerous incidences like this that went unpunished by Clattenburg, and the free kick count was way out of balance even before the halftime whistle. It's no surprise we lost our heads cuz Clattenburg didn't do his job. It was always going to kick off, but I suppose the ref will be applauded for keeping it 11 v 11.

Eat a giant cock Tottenham, filthiest performance of the year. Congratulations Leicester.

Playing at Chelsea, what a surprise! If you think it was all Tottenham's doing, you have your head up your arse!

Tell me, who has the reputation for playing like pricks? Chelsea are a vile club. They may have plenty of trophies, but they have nothing to be proud of.

Will need to reread a couple of times to fully interpret all aspects but on the face of it the article does show where the game is at commercially.

What sticks out is the lack of product free to air; in part thanks to SBS but more so thanks to a lack of drive from FFA.

Seems like there is no desire to truly push greater public awareness of the a league product, thereby cutting away at commercial revenue (broadcasting, sponsorship or otherwise).

Simon Hill was talking this morning about how the FFA taking over the Jets probably had a bit to do with the lack of promotion. Make of that what you will, just thought I'd mention it.

  7. The biggest issue with this club since its inception has been it's mentality/attitude.

Novillo's is shit. Move him on.

  8. The issue is that i'm viewing melbourne city for exactly what it is, Etihad FC.

And no, i don't expect that to change.

So i'm stuck with the choice of either a club being used as billboard for Etihad/Abu Dhabi. One i view as being completely fake. Or a club with a shitty, arrogant and often violent attitude on and off the pitch. It may be an easier choice for others, but i'm not sure which is worse!

So i suppose i would define a decent club (for want of a better word) as a  respectable club that plays football, for footballing reasons. Neither melbourne team falls into that category for me.

  9. If JW can come up with a reason that quickly to give me any slither of hope of sticking around, why can't they? I've mentioned twice already on there in no uncertain terms that i am struggling to find a reason to care.

Also, one quick glance at my record would tell them that i've been a member since the melbourne heart days, and that i also bought a baby membership for the first time this season. Most of my angst is stemming from the fact i'm wanting a decent football club for me and my boy to support and go watch. And that this one that i had hoped would be it, isn't turning out that way!

So not only would they be losing a long-time member, they'd be losing at least one other potential long-time member too! And then there's the other 4-5 others who are members because of me who will also (most likely) have their own kids in the future!

I'm sure they'll get to your displeasure as soon as they deal with all the other displeasure's.

But if i was there and had the role that they do, I probably wouldn't reply to each person. I'd take the voicing of displeasure on board and work behind the scene's to rectify it then make a statement via the club as to what changes have been made.

I'd use my time more wisely rather then giving a vague response to a grievance that i have no control over.

But I did get a reply. So while you're trying to address one issue with a response, just simply acknowledge the other!

  11. And to really drive home the point of how ridiculous this club's communication is, a week or so ago I sent an email asking if there were any deals available to members to fly with Etihad Airways.

I got no response. Not even a standard price list.

    What an absolute shit-show!

Edit: I know this is now going off topic.

I don't know what you asked them, nor do i have a reason as to why you didn't get a clear/direct answer.

I too was signed up manchester city's mailing list. I have since unsubscribed.

I wasn't really asking them anything. I was simply "voicing" my displeasure at what had happened and why I don't feel connected to the club. Something which they should be concerned with if they are really trying to engage with, and bring in new supporters!

You want to know how to get people interested and connected? Then listen to what I'm fucking telling you!

Makes sense. We aren't professionals in football management... regardless of what your football manager game says.

I'm happy for them to go about their business, they know what is best.

It isn't the opportune moment to announce anything, the GF is this weekend and Warren medal was last night.

Patience, we've stuck it out this long with JVS at the helm, surely you can wait a little longer.

    1) I don't play Football manager.

    2) I'm not necessarily referring to just 'football matters'.

    3) Their little marketing exercise is going to look a little pointless, when in the end the club has no supporters. Just look at all the empty seats in manchester.

Case in point: I have a gripe with the fact my details i entered into a competition which turned out to be a complete and utter farce, have been used to sign me up to the Manchester City mailing list. But the bloke on City Voice seems more concerned with finding and fixing the bugs in the competition process, than actually addressing the main issue I have which I made more than clear! I'm not expecting anything about it to change, CFG will do what they want to do with the club. But at least fucking acknowledge what I've said. It might actually go somewhat to changing my opinion, or at least keep what slender chance they have of keeping me interested!

But by all means CFG, keep going about your business! It's working great!

They're plastic franchises, just accept them for what they are and enjoy the game

Unfortunately i can only do that to a certain degree. And to be honest besides watching bruno and mooy plying their trade, and catching up with friends at games, i haven't really enjoyed much at all.

Anyhoo, i've made my feelings clear so i won't keep bleating on about it.

Lol. You put the shirt in a sa😅tchel, write the address on the front and send it in the post. Possibly the worst excuse i have heardd- and have a heard some pearlers at this club over the years

I didn't really need them to tell me what was going on. Having followed the club long enough that was blindingly obvious. But you can only get away with those bullshit excuses if you actually follow up with what you have said you'll do. Fuck me! They didn't even use the buying of time to come up with a decent bullshit excuse!

But like I said, i'm not angry about the competition and not receiving my prize, I'd totally forgotten about it. But it seems to me that they're not even trying to be a separate entity to the other CFG clubs anymore. I mean i knew that was the case, but you could at least not be so blatant about it.

I'd have at least some respect for CFG if they'd just paid money for sponsorship and advertising, rather than buying a franchise and trying to parade it around as a legitimate football club.

  16. Have already posted on City Voice about the shambolic nature of the Chinese New Year comp, but am pissed right off so I'm going to bring it up here.

So to recap for those not on City Voice, I entered my email address to receive a verification code for the Golden Envelope competition. Entered the code in, was told I'd won a home city shirt, but afterwards heard nothing. I rang the club a week or so later to see what the deal was, to be told there were logistical issues and that they were still figuring out how to send out prizes. I was also told my details would be passed on to the relevant department, and that someone would be in contact shortly. It is 2 months later and hadn't heard anything........... Until tonight!

No, the club did not get back to me to discuss my prize. In stead, I receive an email from Manchester City. MANCHESTER FUCKING CITY!

It reads: 'Following your sign up to receive communications from Manchester City Football Club via our Chinese New Year competition, you have been successfully added to our email list.'

I don't give a shit about not receiving a prize. In fact I'd totally forgotten about it altogether. Hell, I'd even stopped giving a shit about handing over my email address and details to what was clearly an entity based in China. But I don't think I need to explain why I find this email so fucking offensive, on a number of levels. I was already thinking about walking away after 6 long, unsuccessful years as a Heart/City member due to the way this franchise is being used. This is just another nail in the coffin.
