  1. It's raining in Noosa today.
  2. So a small forum of a few (?) hundred people created the sad circumstance of a man's father dying that has made him walkaway from his professional career? You must be so proud.
  3. I suggest you learn what 'palliative care' means.
  4. With the squad we have we should be performing better. No doubt, no disagreeing. Am I stirring the pot with my 'alternative thoughts'? Yes. Do I believe that JvS gets the rough end of the pineapple on here? Yes. Does he deserve it? Maybe, moving towards yes, based on results over the history of the club. I don't know if he is a good manager. I'm not involved in the club and have never had any involvement in a professional sporting organisation. I only trust that these multi-million dollar businesses employ the best people both on and off the field and that the City Group have enough really smart football people involved who will know what the best thing is. Call that blind ignorance maybe. Back to my earlier statement about if he is a good manager. The results tend to point towards no - something isn't working. I still strongly believe that a lot of the comments posted here are unreasonable in nature and that is one of the issues I have a problem with here. I'm clearly looking at the personable aspect of things and maybe I'm blind to the real issues? Christmas has made me reflective and hopefully rational and not condescending or sarcastic (). How can we be so poor defensively one week with poor structure and decision making and strong the next? Players not consistent? Message not getting through for any of the fulltime staff they have? How the hell can 2 penalties be saved in one match? Why the hell did Bruno pick the same spot 3 times and why didn't Cahill take one to mix things up? That decision rests solely with the players. Bouzanis was poor to say the least. 2 of the 3 goals should be regulation saves. That would've made it 3-1. Bruno missed 2 pen's. Massive error. Caceres seemed to lack penetration and confidence. Is that the reason he doesn't often start or is that a consequence of him not often starting? For mine we missed Fitzgerald, Malik and Jakobsen. When we a good - shit we're good. When bad - well........................ Probably a product of high pressing free wheeling football that entertains and get the bums on seats. Is that the backbone of TCG's business model? I just want to win the GF any way possible.
  5. Shithouse result. Hate loosing to those pricks especially Muscat who is a condescending prick. Didn't see any of the game due to a family commitment and not worth watching the replay. I assume only one person responsible for the loss. Even the players who didn't play due to injury are his fault. The 3 previous wins against them have nothing to do with him but this loss is 100% his fault. Like shooting fish in a barrel.
  6. Let's hope this happens so you are impressed but more importantly so we win the title. Now that is what we all agree on as the number one most important aim outcome. We win the title, JvS leaves and another manager comes in to be mocked on this board!
  7. Probably not due to the win being the catalyst for my rant. And your point is?
  8. Cheers mate. I actually feel better this morning after getting my rant off my chest! Believe me I have read the entire thread and have been monitoring it on and off. I'm obviously not a forum sort of guy and may be a bit older than others on here (??) and fully expect to be laughed at for signing up and sticking my head up. And maybe i'm biased slightly by the personal side of the discussion but I think this helps to balance the ruthlessness of the industry. The pure football based analysis I take on board and actually learn from. The "i've heard from a reliable source that he is nothing but a puppet for TCG and has photo's of x so that's the only reason he has the job still" type of arguments rile me up. But I'm being sucked into a forum with postings from all sort of people. The nit picking out of a 1 second TV image of him not doing something to support an argument is laughable. Or in my case rantable!
  9. I've been here for the last 7 years. I just haven't been posting on a forum read by a small % of people. I've also met people connected to the club and people who are just supporters like all of us and we have argued, discussed, questioned everything about a new (lets me honest - we are still very young) professional sporting club and the trials in trying to break into a very established market. One thing that proved to be a common thread was stability throughout the organization. This has happened to us. But I also understand the thought that it's good to turn things over to try new things and this can also generate positive results. I get it - I just don't think its the right thing for this club.
  10. I'm as competitive as anyone out there. Hate losing. Makes me feel sick and I'm tired of being the laughing stock of almost every supporter. I've sat through freezing weather watching shit games and gone home furious. This thread just annoys me due to 90% of the uneducated keyboard warrior comments.
  11. Best on ground last night. Strong in the air and read every play that Sydney threw at him. Good on him.
  12. I've been sitting back watching, waiting and reading the complete dribble that appears on this thread by you football expert keyboard warriors. What a complete load of crap. And you call yourself supporters. Support, criticize and discuss issues but do it based on fact and knowledge and not young school boy like small dicked comments that are posted. The most laughable thing is that most you think you know more than a professional football club that employ quality experienced football people and the most of you peanuts couldn't get a game in the Moe Sunday arvo comp. But yet you post comments and opinions that seem as though you have come straight out of a city group board meeting. And this rant isn't necessarily directed at you KSK_47 but every single poster in this thread. Just maybe he was standing back to allow his players to soak up the joy and thrill of winning the clubs first trophy. Just like what a good man manger should do. You stick your head up when the business makes mistakes and cop the heat and then stand back in the background when things go well. You allow the real workers to get the glory. But despite JvS doing this people still go out of their way to find a negative that suits their single minded and short sighted argument. Go out a celebrate the win. Be positive. Be thankful for the strong leadership, financial backing and the club that expects to go places and are all working extremely hard to achieve what we ALL want - wins and glory. I've waited a long time to get this off my chest. Jeez this thread has me fired up. Ungrateful ignorant fools. Go City.
