  1. Give this plonka the boot already for fucks sake.

Ferran Soriano's outlook calendar should read as follows this week:

Tuesday 9am - Flight to Melbourne.

Thursday 7am - Meeting with Melbourne City board

Thursday 9am - Sack the orange git.

Thursday 10am -  Announce sacking of orange git to the media.

  2. I don't claim to know all that much about the tactics of football or how to motivate a team, but clearly JVS has almost as little idea.

Just seems like he's going through the motions.  The sooner the sheikhs mates boot him out the door the better.

  3. A number of weeks back I left my apartment in Richmond about 20mins before the game thinking I was only gonna get there just in time for kick-off.

Next thing I see Germano and a couple of others sitting outside a restaurant on the corner of my street looking pretty relaxed, having some dinner.

They obviously weren't in the selected squad, but it did strike me as a little odd that I was gonna get to the ground before some members of the playing group.

  4. Fucking Davutovic. First he tells us Koren is going to be better than Engelaar, now he wants us to recruit a washed up socceroo? I love that he mentions Aloisi, Skoko, Grella & Kewell before declaring it's a risk worth taking!

    DO NOT WANT

Amen, as soon as he thought of this, he should have reassessed his opinion and scrapped the article.

  5. As with any football kits wash 'em inside out on the hand wash or delicates cycle to prevent any lettering peeling off. Cold temp is generally kinder to the kits as well.

    Still waiting on mine...

If you want to incorporate some next level shit into your kit wash, put it in one of those delicates wash bags.

I only do this after having chucked my home shirt in the wash and it coming out with heaps of thread pulls all over it.  Thankfully I was still able to convince Nike that it came like that, and they let me return it.

Melbourne City captain Patrick Kisnorbo defends coach John van’t Schip in wake of poor form

MELBOURNE City captain Patrick Kisnorbo says coach John van’t Schip isn’t to blame for the team’s poor form.

Kisnorbo, at the centre of a defence that let in five goals against Wellington, conceded his spot may be in jeopardy ahead of Sunday’s must-win game against Brisbane and also admitted confidence among the players is low.

“I think he’s done a great job but it’s just one of those things that we’re going through a difficult period. I’m sure all of you in your life have gone through a difficult stage at one time and it’s up to you to get out of it."

“It’s like us, we just get judged because we’re in the public eye"

Thought i'd just post these quotes from Kisnorbo in Comic Sans for effect.

  7. If Munn is generally considered arrogant in the football industry as Davutovic says, then it must be some of the most astoundingly misplaced arrogance in the history of mankind.

What has he got to be arrogant about?

  8. And also because no-one from inside the club apparently has the balls to publicly say 'This is completely unacceptable from a professional team. Right now, we are a laughing stock and we have been for far too long.'

Have a look at the website. A generic (probably league-approved) match report, without a single quote from anyone at City (what was JVS' press conference like? Did he even show up?). Social media had the usual 'Tough day at the office...unable to capitalise on the initial fifteen minutes of domination' (****ing lol) rubbish and the official website was running with Rob Koren's ****ing rehab update as its main story until about 8pm last night. Losing a game like that is disgusting. But to not hear a single person at the club drop this 'winning mentality...taking our chances...not far off' crap for a moment, own it and say 'This isn't good enough, our fans have stuck with us through thick and thin and to repay them with what we've dished up this season is an absolute disgrace' is infuriating.

Out of likes, but like this x10000.

I'm not sure who the club thinks they are fooling with their upbeat explanations in the media.  I appreciate they aren't gonna come out and completely rubbish the club, but a hint of an honest appraisal from somebody wouldn't go astray.

  9. With all the nike gear from Man City  (which only has the word City on it - and no logo), why can't we have this gear available for us to purchase?

Yeah it is kind of surprising that they haven't siphoned off some of that stuff out here.

  10. WSW had the same issue in their first season. It seems like Nike are real cunts to clients in their first year of a contract

It sorta defies logic really doesn't it.  From personal experience, in business you usually get good service from a supplier for the first 12 months of a contract, and then it all goes to shit for the next 2 or 3 years, until about 6 months before the contract renewal is due and service miraculously improves again.
