n i k o
Who'd have thought getting your signings right would make a difference. Ground breaking. Anyway, awesome work from the women and all involved.

Surely this mentality issue comes back to some root.

Surely this mentality issue comes back to some root. Personally i dont think the administration is overly relevant in our context. I'm kind of of the belief now that its just a giant monkey on our back that we are struggling to shake, and the minute we do we'll be pretty hard to stop. I'm not sure we are doing anything wrong per se, we've just not been able to step up to the pressure situation as a mens team as yet. For the sanity of the fans, hopefully it happens sooner rather than later.

It must be a giant monkey if its a problem that even stems back to Heart days.

Tommykins
As someone who will watch just about any football put in front of them - I never quite saw why everyone was so keen to get behind WSW (outside of the fact that they weren't us), Brisbane absolutely destroyed them last night (mind you, we got very lucky vs Brisbane also). GreenSeater
Yet another good win today. Same sort of game as the men’s in that we were always comfortable but just couldn’t really put them away. But another win and another clean sheet. 9 points clear for now! Tommykins
https://thewomensgame.com/news/catley-ill-probably-be-in-europe-next-summer-537334 This kinda sucks. Quote "I’ll more than likely be in Europe the next transfer window. I haven’t signed anything, just been talking. England’s where I’m looking,” Catley told the Herald-Sun.

haz
I think we need to restructure the forum whereby the women are the main site and the men's team are a sub topic.

Deluka
Awesome result, dominated from start to finish. WSW looked so second rate though, didn’t look like they belong in the same division as us.
luka74
Great result and great to get the premiers plate. Will be tough with players only coming back a couple of days before the first final I think. Hopefully no one gets injured on international duty. At least it will be a home final, hopefully at AAMI. Dylan
Looks like final will be at ADB stadium to give the players the maximum time available when they get back from international duty. I actually think thats a good thing. ADB Stadium is great

IssySG
We going to talk about this absolute robbery? Catley, Carpenter, Williams, Van Egmond, Stotty all worth a nomination at the minimum
Tommykins
It is phenomenal for Carpenter to not be on that list.

bt50
Now i could be wrong here, but I'm reasonably sure that the 5 'nominees' are actually just the top 5 in polling from a match-by match basis a la a normal b & f vote. Presumably our girls all took votes off each other in that case. Dumb way of presenting it anyway. For reference : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Warren_Medal#:~:text=The Johnny Warren Medal is,Australian national soccer club competition.&text=A football media representative%3B,vote from the match officials.
