I agree that the format is a little forced but I can understand why they're doing it though.

At least one NPL/State League club will make the semi-finals and obviously it also instantly knocks out 3 A-League clubs, so they're giving the minnows every chance to succeed. Which is fair enough I guess as it's the first rendition of the cup and drumming up interest in it is the priority.

I'm sure they'll revert back to a typical cup format once the FFA Cup is a more established tournament in this country.

Bit of a letdown, all teams should've been in 1 pot and drawn randomly. Disappointing only 4 clubs had the chance to play an A-League side in the 1st rd.

Spot on. No need for all these different pots bullshit.

Also forces three A-League clubs out in the first round. The equivalent of forcing 6 EPL clubs out of the English FA Cup in the 3rd Round. Wouldn't be tolerated anywhere else.

I think its completly acceptable for the FFA to favor the lower league clubs over the A league ones. It gives them more exposure and a better chance to progress and therefore more incentive to take it seriously, which will lead in the end to the standard being raised below the aleague and therefore will come through at A league level.  Plus the greater exposure to the lower leagues might attract more people to local games which can only be a good thing.

Cant wait for the first big upset.

Could anyone explain why mcf would carry a Vatican flag to games but have presented themselves as fascists? Eg: seig heils, neo nazi symbols on a few banners and stickers. Catholic Neo Nazi's? Just confused

Never seen them use a nazi symbol (Did you mean Ustase?), which . But they do fascist salutes, more a reference to croatian nationalism.

All game dates.

Interesting to see that south Springvale are hosting their game at Kingston heath instead of their usual home ground. I'm a bit disappointed but its probably just not up to scratch for all the media attention/supporters
