jw1739
Just received the fixtures for the coming season. The Christmas Derby is back. Great to see it referred to as "the now traditional Christmas Derby" - it was we the fans who named it and that name has stuck. Tommykins
I think I was alone in really enjoying midweek fixtures - only a couple this year, and all around holidays.
Baka1
Surely we can wear red and white for one home game a year vs mariners or Tards
fensaddler
Number of kick offs prior to 5 is notable and welcome to those of us who have to negotiate infrequent late night v line services. 7.45 really is too late if you've got to get back to Geelong... No offence intended to Central Coast, but of the two you put forward my choice would be the Christmas Derby. Ideal because of Santa hats and all that.... Magnificent for those coming with young families too. My kids absolutely loved the semi final last year and have talked about it ever since, but any kick off after 5pm is just too late for us when the commute is all the way back to Ballarat. Plus beers in the sun is an absolutely ace way to watch football
jw1739
Pretty soon IMO we have to go back to the future - winter football and primarily Saturday afternoon matches. Climate change will mean it's too hot to play in summer, and there won't be any electricity to run the floodlights...
