johnno cpfc
AAMI Park, Melbourne. Probably just as well we are playing away for the first round, that pitch will need at the very least 2 whole weeks to recover from this!

Braveheart
Anyone know why Celtic's ground was nicknamed the jungle? It's not. The northern terrace (later an enclosed stand) was/is known as the jungle. From memory this was simply a nickname given to the terrace in the north end due to the wild/fanatical type of supporters who congregated there and their antics. It was a bit of a free for all as area was not 'allocated' and probably most importantly it was the cheapest spot to watch the game from. Celtic's ground is officially known as: Celtic Park but most of the bhoys refer to it as 'Parkhead' or more commonly as simply 'Paradise'!

KSK_47
Pretty interesting article on the BBC website about lost grounds West Ham United are due to move to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford from Upton Park in 2016 while Tottenham Hotspur, who have plans for a new stadium next to their current White Hart Lane ground, will have to find a temporary home venue for the 2017-18 season. They are just the latest clubs to leave their long-established homes - a trend which began in the 1990s and which shows no signs of abating. So what became of England's lost football grounds? http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-29460621 Edited October 22, 2014 by KSK_47

KSK_47
I love that stadium. The architecture firm that designed that submitted a proposal to make the new Anfield too. It's pretty sexy.

NuggetsMcGreggor
new 35,000 seat stadium proposed for my club in Germany, Karlsruher SC. Will be a massive improvement over the current Wildparkstadion which has an athletics track around the pitch. Construction is a while off though, only due to start in 2017.
