Member get member is a good idea but it’s to hard to get people to sign up to a membership. I’d like to see a program on actually getting mates to games.

You get the latter with the two free GA admission vouchers that you receive with your membership.

TBH, a GA or City Blue membership is pretty bloody cheap. If you don't fork out for one then you don't really have any interest in the game. If you buy a cup of coffee each day you're at work you'll spend somewhere in the $800-$1000 per year on coffee - 3-4 times the cost of a full adult GA or City Blue membership.

Well if you at it like that, spend $300 on a coffee machine and you can have 2 memberships and coffees for the season.

But how are you meant to be cool and hip making your coffee at home and not buying it from the bearded guy at the popular cafe in some dodgy alleyway that uses milk crates!?

Do you know where abouts it is than

when you're logged in to the membership portal (https://premier.sportsubs.com.au/aleague/melbournecity/ ) click on my account (top left of screen) then click purchase history. find the purchase of your membership and click the more button then select custom cards. You'll probably see this message: This card can no longer be changed as the purchase has been fulfilled.

Looks like memberships are on the way. Let's hope we get a bumper sticker this season.

Did you ask the club or something? Cause its usually the week of and after the family day.

Last season at this time: 8,373. And previous season 8,744.

We're tracking about 10% down on last season.

It's not great, but it's not a disaster either. However, success and good football are required very soon if we are not to slither into oblivion. The worst outcome of this season would be for us to underperform again, and then to be faced with the option of a new, shiny third Melbourne A League franchise hoovering up any potential new business and our disillusioned fellow travellers.

Memberships up to day before Round 1.

Villa's arrival in 2014 really gave membership a kick along. However Villa's short stay and abrupt departure led to a drop at the start of 15/16 but that season we had Mooy, Bruno and Novilla putting on a show and then the arrival of Cahill turned 16/17 into a record membership season.

After 8 seasons, 4 under the stewardship of City Football Group, IMO only sustained success on the field is really going to increase the numbers and keep them at a higher level.

All the other good work that the club does counts for nothing if there is not success for the men's team - A-League, FFA Cup, Asia (if we ever get there) etc.

Agreed, we desperately need to see sustained success. Without it, there is an existential threat on the horizon with a potential third franchise in Melbourne. This season is particularly critical.

Same old problems were evident in the FFA Cup match. Granted, we didn't have our strongest team on paper on the pitch, and it was only one game,  but all the same issues around slow ball movement, slow movement off the ball and inability to penetrate deep defences were still there, it doesn't give too much confidence that things have fundamentally changed

Also keep in mind this season stars 2 weeks later. So really until "Round 2" that would be on this graph, is when the 18/19 line should stop

Just tinkering around the edges. The graphs and the numbers behind those graphs show that membership is not increasing, and at the very best is essentially static.
