The number that's shown on the A-League web-site under "Membership" (which still shows last season's final numbers), or inside information. I doubt that the number will be "an all time low." Many people are on automatic rollover to the new season. Last season's final number was 11,262.
bt50
FWIW i think whatever we lose (maybe a few hundred members) would be offset and then some by people signing back up due to the excitement and buzz around having some new opposition. Any talk of it opening us up to folding is ludicrous. A 3rd melb team, particularly one based in the South East, would only serve to strengthen football in Vic imo. jw1739
We have our letters confirming our renewals via "opt-in,", our membership type, number, years of membership and payment plan. IMO it's a nice touch that has been missing in previous seasons.

I like it.🖒
belaguttman
I was rung by memberships today. They offered me a discounted 5 game ticket to renew, the first acknowledgement` of being a season ticket holder since season 1. Still no option for a 5 game Active ticket so I politely declined and, at this stage, we are unlikely to be renewing. Meeting up with them on the train on the way in, and all that sort of thing. That's what builds loyalty to the club in the end.

There's no comparable number from last season (17/18) until 1st September (remember - the daily counter was removed by order of FFA?). The first decent comparisons will come on 17th July when I have numbers from 13/14, 14/15, and 15/16. I won't have 16/17 until 10th August. 20 minutes ago, fensaddler said: That doesn't sound fabulous but at this time of the year is probably par for the course?? Agree, it's not wonderful. Our first home match last year was 6th October. I have a number for 12th October of 9386. So 5656 represents a renewal rate of 60%. We'll have to wait and see I think.

Currently we are easily the 4th highest membership rate. Expected since WSW, Victory and Sydney are above us. IMO, if Sydney dont sign a 'big name' then we should be close to catching them this season.

If that overall pattern is maintained and memberships across the league are down then fingers should be pointed at the FFA.

melbourneman12345
Hi everyone, planning on becoming a member for the first time and had a few questions. If anyone here is able to answer I would be appreciative. 1. What sort of merchandise would be within the "Official 2018/19 Melbourne City membership pack, with exclusive members merchandise" ? 2. Would a membership give me free entry to home ffa cup games (if we get any) ? 3. How far into the season do 3-match or 5-match memberships get released? That's all for now. Cheers.
