Our form is concerning but I think we still go into this one as deserved favourites.

The week off has come at the best possible time for us with the likes of Nabbout, Griffiths and Atkinson all the better for hopefully getting to starting fitness in time, and Macarthur themselves looked as though they had a few injury concerns after the 120 minutes. Not to mention the red card to Meredith, which means Golec will probably have to start at left back and he's a player we can definitely expose with pace on that right wing. The biggest problem is finishing, and without Maclaren we really do look a 1 goal a game worse team, but I'm still confident there's enough ability and depth in the squad to produce a result here.

Fingers crossed we can all attend!

I’m assuming we’ll get Noone back and that Griffiths is Ok. I can’t imagine Nabbout playing.

so a front 3 of Noone- Cola-Tilio

Atkinson might come in for Galloway too.

We will definitely have a good enough side to win it. I guess our form doesn’t lend itself to hope, but a run of form doesn’t last forever does it?

Nothing against Cola, but Atkinson has a few more runs on the board and Cola can come on and run at a tiring and slow defence

can't wait for Foxtel to fuck off, sick of these shit fixtures. sat night with a crowd would of been great

I'm surprised APL agreed to it. I'm afraid I think it will be moved to Sydney/Campbelltown and even if we win so will the GF. There is bugger all support for wogball in VicGov, and they won't want a big crowd at AAMI.

I'm happy to attend both games if I'm allowed to travel, wherever. We'll make another Premiers next year with Leckie, but grand finale is finale.

The attacking trio Atkinson Cola Tilio wouldn't suprised me with Noone being sore (injured). Rodrigues is also on combination. Do we have a chance, not interested in that speculation.

It's touch-and-go with two residents of a townhouse complex in the CBD testing positive overnight.

Now the fun and games begin, AFL have moved the 2 Melbourne games to Tassie as they arnt allowing crowds. So don't expect that we will have a crowd at AAMI.

Now to see what the league does, give us our deserved home final, or shift us to Sydney for money

Interestingly the game in Geelong on Friday will still go ahead with only the games in metropolitan Melbourne being moved. Maybe we can move the game to either Geelong or Ballarat so at least we get to stay in our own state and Macarthur still have to travel.

Obviously would rather just play behind closed doors at AAMI but if some level of crowds are allowed in regional areas then it's far better than moving it to Sydney

Geelong game is going to be behind closed doors.

Fuck.

AFL are well connected. In fact so well connected I sometimes think they tell the government what to do.

When the Acting Premier and other spokesmen specifically mention "crowds at AFL matches" in press conferences, you know perfectly well that they do tell the government what to do. And they have inside information as well. That's why they're the first to get out of Melbourne ahead of a lockdown. FFA and APL, being in Sydney, have no idea of what is going on.

So instead of keeping the grand final in Melbourne for us supporters should we get through,  they're going the cash grab and moving the game interstate to the opposition's home. What a farce.

That would mean a crowd of just under 7400.

Townsend said while that was not ideal, it would be acceptable for semi-final.

“But we couldn’t restrict grand final numbers to that,” he said.

So we could get 7400 to the Grand Final based on current capacity limits. But that isn't enough for the Grand Final. Last years grand final had only 7051 in attendance... just saying.

I’d say if government will put 50% capacity or even 65% capacity it will stay in Melbourne

It's as clear as mud. I can't reference to stadiums yet. This what it says for "Entertainment." Maybe we've done a special deal.

Indoor seated entertainment venues may have up to 50 per cent capacity or a maximum of 75 people. A group limit of 10 applies.

The density quotient of one person per 4 square metres applies to all entertainment venues.

Outdoor venues may have up to 50 per cent of seated capacity to a maximum of 150 people.

Indoor non-seated venues can have up to 75 people per venue.

Outdoor, non-seated venues can have group sizes of up to 20 people.

Arcades, escape rooms, and bingo centres may open with a maximum of 50 people per venue.

Drive-in cinemas can have a maximum of 150 patrons but they must remain in their vehicles and there can be no more than 75 people indoors in shared spaces.

Amusement parks may open with no outdoor venue limit, but no more than 75 people indoors.

Retail betting venues must have a maximum of 150 people, with no more than 75 people indoors.

Casinos can open with 10 exclusive rooms, electronic gaming machines and electronic gaming tables only with a maximum of 10 machines per room and every second machine must be closed or have 1.5m between machines.

Electronic gaming is open to a maximum of 50 people per venue.

Brothels may open with a cap of 50 people indoors with the density quotient of 1 person per 4 square metres.

Karaoke and nightclubs can open with a maximum of 50 people for seated service. Dancefloors are not permitted.

Not sure about VFM standing in a 4sqm space on your own, jerking off

Ironic, isn't it, that brothels get a mention whereas stadiums don't. Goes to show where VicGov's thoughts go first, doesn't it. Not surprising, really. I seem to remember that when I first came to Melbourne all those old residences in St. Kilda Road were Tart Shops, and Ministers were often caught there on "parliamentary business."

Victoria.

the state that closes churches and keeps brothels open.

Actually it kind of makes sense. We need the brothels open because we’re rooted.

My regular taxi driver who by and large is a decent bloke also does a lot of trading for brothels and sex workers that operate on their own. Even during the "ring of steel" he was kept busy by the sex trade - did not have a day off. It actually says a lot more about Melbourne (and regional) blokes than it does about anything else. Melbourne "the sporting capital of the world" - bollocks.
