So the members function is on after the game. This is going to be fun

Possibly the most courageous action we've seen from the team this season.

After this week we have a week off and then the Darby. From all reports it looks like JVS will survive at least until the Asian Cup break. the players will all go away on a training camp in Abu Dhabi. So if the results don't come in the next 2 games I expect a new coach to take over for the 2nd part of the season...

Either way this season is a write off, and it's only round 9... Fucking joke when you think about it..

Well we can still make finals if we lift our game, which although not enough to be counted as a successful season I'd still like to see b/c we have basically no finals experience so it would be good to get some going in to the season after.

Oh goody. I remember the last time we had one of these Sidwell told us they were looking to bring in some more investors but we're still considering a fan owned model, then he told us it was up to the fans to convince people to come to games followed by Aloisi giving loads of excuses why he was failing and how he needed better players before he would be able to start winning.

Yeah. Can't wait. Lol

Some need a stint in the NYL.

Redders

Hoff, Kisnorbo, Chapman, King?

Portaloo

Mooy, Duff

Gooch, (a striker, Marino?), Williams

Subs: Velaphi, Murdocca, Mauk, Espendola, (a striker, Dekker?).

I would almost consider putting portaloo upfront, someone with some muscle and can head a ball, could defend up front, but his movement would be poor I think.

Duff would suit AM as he is getting older, can pass, dribble, has smarts and get in a scoring opp.

Gooch had a great time on the right wing, played his best there.

Williams is a winger, when playing for the all stars was a standout there, start playing him in position, a striker he is not.

LB and CF we have a hard time, but I'm sick of Duga and Ramsay. So king comes in, with maybe Marino and Dekker as the sub.

Serious question, what happened to Schroen? I thought he was killing it last year?

Dont we randomly throw Kisnorbo up there? which has done nothing every time its happened?

He would only be there to get on the end of crosses and play others in. He would be different to Kisnorbo being a midfielder, he has better creativity, passing and dribbling, his movement would be poor though compared to a natural forward and I have no idea how he would do with the ball at his feet.

So you do have a point and I respect that and as I said it could be considered, but unlikely.

And a tifo with 'you're all spuds(except mooy)'

I understand this is a reactionary post, I've had my moments too. But the lads would be low on confidence already, we should try to encourage them.

Take it out on management that we only have youth specialists in CF and LB and two mediocre GK because of poor recruiting. Also poor club culture and as Bela says, lack of a sports sphycologist. Also letting Gerard Nuss go, he is quite astute.

Take it out on JVS for poor tactics and persisting with Ramsay.

They'll probably fly Dylan Macallister back to answer a few questions. Have him on the panel with Germano and a youth league player.

If we beat Brisbane this Sunday they will become only the second team of which we will not have lost more games than what we've won.

Sydney is the only team currently where we haven't lost more than what we've won. In fact our record with Sydney is 4 wins each and 6 draws.

If we beat Brisbane we'll move to 6 wins each with 2 draws.

We do not have more wins than losses against any current A-League club!  :droy:

Was all square in the derby until the last game, we seem to do ok against the "better" teams.

As long as the curries good Sunday night will be a massive success. Think it's the catholic guilt that draws me to football, suffering (supporting shit football teams) in order to receive joy in life (beer and curry).

Can we seriously have a banner for this? Something tongue-in-cheek yet powerful.

"Buy Us A Win"

Love the idea, would look great!

maybe to keep the match fixing accusations at bay a...

"Buy the players a backbone transplant"

...might be a good alternative

Still no Chapman, I suppose that its good that he isn't being rushed back, Ramsay still in the squad, it shows how little depth we have in crucial positions.

players can still be brought in somehow, retre wasn't in the squad for the win vs roar was he and he played?

I don't take too much notice of these Thursday FFA squads. There are usually changes before match day.

I'd say we have very little depth anywhere. Alternatives, but that's not the same as depth in my book.
