Red or Dead
They fcuked up on the NYC trip entry points:  Entering is simple; you redeem 25 of your City Points per entry and have a maximum of 10 entries for this competition.  Good luck!  Price Per Entry: 50 Points
Tesla
FYI, just noticed there is a security issue with the sportsub site (and therefore cityzens site), make sure you are using a password you don't use anywhere else or risk your account on those other sites being compromised.
Popular Post Tesla
to explain because you guys probably dont think I'm serious.Doing a 'forgot password', I actually get my password sent to me rather than a new password needing to be generated, which means passwords are being stored unencrypted, or using some two-way encryption (which is really no better than it being unencrypted). It's basically the most fundamental rule of storing passwords that they are stored with a strong one-way encryption, and that's what the vast majority of legitimate websites do.What this means is, in the vast majority of legitimate websites, if your password is 'secret123' no one will ever be able to know it's 'secret123' as in the database it will be something like '$2a$04$Lt5mDAu.iCAU4S/9XffdNOgzsZDWPWHJ5E0ENP.3P2Fog6bcKZoKq' with no reasonable way of turning '$2a$04$Lt5mDAu.iCAU4S/9XffdNOgzsZDWPWHJ5E0ENP.3P2Fog6bcKZoKq' back to 'secret123'. Regardless of whether it's for some proper use or for something malicious, whether it's an employee of the organisation or a hacker, no one can ever find out the actual password (without a lot of time and computing power). Even the website itself has no way of knowing your password is 'secret123', when you try to login it doesn't check if the password you entered matches 'secret123', it encrypts what you entered and then check if that equals '$2a$04$Lt5mDAu.iCAU4S/9XffdNOgzsZDWPWHJ5E0ENP.3P2Fog6bcKZoKq'sportsubs not using a one-way encryption is probably a result of some business decision rather than incompetence, but in some ways that's worse, as that means there is some reason they think it's necessary for people to be able to see your password.Anyway, the consequences of all this are:1. There is potentially a large amount of people at sportsubs, the club, maybe the FFA as well, and who knows who else that can see your password in plain text, alongside your email. So if you use that email and password combination elsewhere, it's hardly a stretch of the imagination that at least one of these people (out of maybe hundreds, if not more, who potentially have access to this information) will try out those login details on your email account, paypal account, social media accounts, etc. for whatever motivation (financial, just to be an asshole, etc.). Factor in that the FFA hires an anti-terrorism company to spy on it's fans, which has been implicated in hacking into fan forums and things like that, it starts to get more troubling when you think the FFA and it's affiliates may have your login information.2. If the sportsubs database is ever compromised, which is hardly a stretch of the imagination since they aren't implementing one of the most fundamental security processes so who knows where else security is overlooked, those who compromised the database potentially have access to everyone's email and password (in plaintext) and can go about trying those details out on thousands of websites via some automatic process, and obviously these people would have malicious intentions if they've compromised the sportsubs database. If a strong one-way encryption was used, like on the vast majority of legitimate websites, #1 would be impossible and #2 would take a lot of time (potentially years) and computing power.TLDR: Don't use the same password you use for sportsubs on any other websites because who knows who has access to it, or will have access to it in the future. jw1739
Seems to be coming on line gradually. For example, late this afternoon I had 0 points, but now I now have 300 points for being a member, but nothing for the two home matches I've attended or the scarves I bought.  Perhaps there's a start date for the matches and merchandise?  I don't recall too many of these things that worked first time under the old regime either. Whoever is implementing these things doesn't do enough road testing before going live. I recall the Morwell ticketing fiasco, a couple of surveys that stopped dead half way through, and it's taken until this season for my membership renewal to proceed smoothly.  Yeah, I know these global branding things are fairly nauseous to most people, but at least this is some recognition that we do exist as a supporter base. Hopefully it will get better with time.

GreenSeater
I wonder how well it checks your tweets when awarding points. Like is it based on content or just hashtags and mentions? I can imagine getting points for saying "Wow our sky blue overlords are so wonderful and generous to us grateful fans! @MelbourneCity #together #cityzens" but would it also award points just for the mentions regardless of the content? Eg: "Sheik Mansour and his team of oil-lactating scum cronies have poisoned the soul of my beloved club and I want them and their sky-blue shit out. @MelbourneCity #together #cityzens"
