Harry Kewell

If you can get your hands on the printed article in The Age Good Weekender I think it reveals a lot about Harry's approach to football, business and his close relationship with Mandic at that time.

Mandic took a shine to Harry because he saw in him a terrific footballer with a single minded determination to make it. And yeah Harry put put himself and family first.

OK, the bastard is now playing in Red & White and he's goona want to go to Brazil so he'll put in for us - I have no doubt. He's practically for FREE and a godsend media wise. HeartFC can do really well out of this. I'll be backing him and the rest of the team. Can't wait for HAL Round 1 farken now that the Socceroos qualifiers are done.

If Skoko's still with the club (Was he not doing stuff with the NYL team/scouting?) would also be worth a grab as he featured in extra time of that game.

Need to hunt down our skipper Viduka, where is he these days? Schwarzer for his saves, Kewell was immense when he came on! Popovic for his elbow!

I still get goosebumps thinking about that match and booing the Uruguay National Anthem... anyway, back on topic.

Mate. You may hate him but that doesn't change the fact that when he was tearing it up at Leeds he was one of the most promising players in the world. If he didn't have such shit luck with injuries chances are he would of gone down as one of the games greats.

Didn't most of his injuries occur because Australia had a game he didn't want to turn up to?

Seriously dont talk shit for the sake of it,

The guy has done more than enough for Australia when most needed, its a basic fact we never would have made WC 2006 without him and nor would we have made it as far in the tournament itself.

FFS it was this form for Australia that frustrated Reds fan so much as the time...

Do u honestly think Harry did not contribute enough to recieve as much credit as anyone else for that side's efforts?
