UOTYH:

there needs to be another large scale global war so that there is a new theme/setting for shooter games in the future. All the large wars have been done 64383 times already, and to illustrate the problem further, the new BF is resorting to being about cops and robbers because a lack of other options.

Obviously it will come at a cost, but I don't want my children growing up in a world where cunts are still just redoing the same WW1/WW2/Vietnam, etc. shooter games. It's for the greater good.

You really need to go meet some Vietnam Veterans...  :droy:

No, you need to get your arse on a plane to France and join the Legion etrangere, then you can get first hand the material to make the games yourself.

UOTYH: Let's be honest, the TTIM, TTDIM, UOTYH threads are all really the same thing just worded differently.

Off-topic, this belongs in the TTIM thread

It's ok to bash a guy who starts dating your ex for no other reason than he is dating your ex

Also its okay to not like PPL purely cos they dated your Partner before you... its not logical but who gives a fuck. So much this. My missus cant understand this.

Also when you spot your ex with her new partner, nothing, absolutely nothing beats the sly smug look you give the douche from across the bar.

You know the old "I know your new girlfriend likes the cheeky finger in the bum to get her across the line" look.

I generally give the "Yeah i know, i have the finger in there right now" look, back.

Cheers drink2_mini.gif

And thats where marteaux's post comes into play and new bf gets knocked out

So everybody deserves to be bashed?

(meaning most people have dated somebodys ex, not that everybody has dated your ex)

Jealousy is a cunt of a thing.

I try not to head down that road.

Getting the thread back on track (such as it is):

Only kids should get a player's name on their jersey.

I personally think only kids should wear jerseys full stop. Seems very juvenile to me when I see a man in their 30-40s wearing  a replica jersey. But apparently this makes me a hipster that doest properly support the club.

I think it just adds colour and clearly highlights the supporters as a being part of the team on the field.

Personally I not a fan of numbers and player's names but have no issues with jerseys as much as I have with fake hardcore ultra wannabe in a hoodie with scarf over his face

lol, where's Red or Dead so we can fire this argument up again?

imo wearing the shirt is fine but as soon as you even step foot into full kit territory then you deserve all the ridicule that's inevitably going to come your way.

I agree but I will happily concede that my opinion is based around my aussie rules/AFL support upbringing. As I learnt from my old man "once you're over 25 there's only two reasons for a bloke to be wearing a footy guernsey: if you're still playing the game or pissed up on a footy trip." Nothing worse than seeing a 40 year bogan in a figure hugging tiges jumper , his fat guts on show for all and sundry to see.

In terms of football/soccer  I have to admit that it doesnt bother me as much... probably due to the loose fit haha

Based on my life experience you can pretty much guarantee that the bloke you should be worrying about upsetting is NOT the try-hard one "in the hoodie with a scarf over his face" etc.

UOTYH : people calling for horse racing to be banned because one horse died is honestly a whole new level of retard.

Wtf is wrong with some people, I just don't understand. How can people's brain function in such a way that things like this even enter their head.

Keep in mind what day today is and just how much alcohol was likely consumed, I know my brain isn't functioning as it probably should right now

These people aren't drinking celebrating an event that brings the whole nation together, they're stressing frustrated at what to complain about next.

I'm not too fussed by it and enjoy the occasional punt on the races, but in saying that do you actually know the amount of horses that are killed because of racing or directly related to racing? Think thousands and thousands and that'd be a good start..... Edited by n i k o

Some of these PPL no doubt are just getting on the latest lefty social media trend and have probably been to and will go to the races again.

And how much tax $ are raised from horse racing? That can then go to health spending and save lives of humans? Or it could go to some spending that benefits animals/horses if that's more up your alley. It just frustrates me when people don't look at the big picture. Of course I don't want the horses dying, but the benefits from horse racing, or even just the Melbourne Cup, far outweigh even the loss of a human life let alone that of a horse or two.

At the end of the day, these horses are bread to race.

Fwiw, if it makes you feel better, if horses were the dominant species on the planet they wouldnt think twice about racing you even if you were going to die because of it

I have no feeling towards it, as I said I'm not too fussed by it. But what percentage of tax comes from horse racing compared to all the other taxes eg. Income tax, oil tax etc. The way you say it it's like we are dependent on horse racing to have health spending etc. which is rubbish.

My observation about the matter

> Female jockey dies from falling mid-race,

> No public outcry.

> Horse dies after running Melbourne Cup,

> Everyone becomes an animal rights advocate.

> Cool

Also how many people are employed as a direct result from racing?

Trainers, jockeys, foreman, stable hands, farriers, vet's, track riders, journalists, race callers, camera crews bookmakers and their staff, tab employees, caterers, bar staff, those in the fashion and retail industry and most importantly Franesca Cumani

It's seriously a ludicrous argument.

Mental health is just as important as physical health, and me enjoying a day at the track socialising where a horse has a 0.2% chance of dying is just as beneficial as enjoying a good tasty steak where another animal has a 100% chance of dying.

And I dont mind people sharing opinions/articles about why they are against the industry, I only start to get pissed off when Im portrayed as a dumb barbarian for being a part of it.

Another thing these Animal Rights PPL dont get because they have never seen a horse is that thoroughbred horses actually like to race because they have been breed to race for over a thousand years... in fact some horses that are not raced and exercised properly when younger usually get depressed and in extreme cases try to hurt themselves by running into things.
