Heart on Twitter - increase our numbers!

For what its worth, Heart actually does a reasonable job on twitter.

At present we have around 11,400 followers. Someone like Ryan Taylor at Newcastle in the EPL has 90K.

Id like to see a push from core supporters to get our numbers up. If you have access to twitter, follow Heart. If you don't have access to twitter, think about getting it, and then follow Heart.

Encourage as many people as possible to jump on board and whenever Heart tweet something that appeals, re-tweet.

The more followers the more potential supporters and ultimately, more potential members.

Melbourne Heart have actually quite a good following on social media, it's a shame that it hasn't reflected the crowds.

Western Sydney followers will increase dramatically over the next few years so they'll be one of the top followed clubs on social media. Melbourne Heart have done well given only three seasons since our inaugural match, the more followers the more exposure of our club.

Deluka, those figures are great, but they don't show anything other than the amount of times one button has been pressed. For example, Fox Sports, Fox Football, The B League, all the presenters, have hit "Like" or "Follow" for the use ability to follow the Club's use of that platform.

I think one of the reasons we have relatively high social media followers is that a lot of them are Victory trolls and as we know Victory have a huge following themselves. And to anyone who doesn't have it, I'd recommend making a Twitter account - Twitter > Facebook.

Would rather put time/effort in convincing people to sign up and become a member.

Agreed. The people we need to target are those who have disposable income, not the limited demographic that looks at the anti-social media.

4m population in Melbourne. A few thousand have clicked a 'like' button that costs them nothing.
