Popular Post cadete
The Third Season for any A League Terrace is often perceived as its hardest and most know that the Yarraside End has received its fair share of criticism as the season has played out in 2012-13. This is of course understandable as it has not always been perfect at times and of course when the team is not playing as well as they could (Let’s hope they have now turned the corner) crowds will be effected both in numbers and noise. However recently I think many may have noticed that YSIDE has yet again bounced back and is once again heading in the right direction after making some notable Achievements in the past few months. Therefore I started this thread as I think as important as it is to use this forum to change what are not working in Our Terrace it’s also good to celebrate what is working from time to time. The following is a list of Achievements that I have noticed, please other posters add any others that you noticed this Season not already listed. 2012/2013 Terrace Achievements: 1. The Christmas Derby (Derby VIII): Once again the Christmas Derby saw YSIDE pull out for the second season in a row the best Tifo seen in Melbourne which received praise from many other clubs' supporters. 2. Sydney Away: This year’s Summer trip to the SFS saw the largest amount of Terrace Members ever to travel on a Away Trip with the around 80 Active Lads joining many other MHFC fans on a rainy Sunday. The notable number of travellers even receiving respect from Sydney’s own supporters for their effort in supporting the team. 3. Best Dressed Terrace: Another Home End in town may try debate this, but supporters from Sydney to Adelaide have made it clear who they think is Australia’s best looking mob. In fact even some of the enemy have even passed on some praise to YSIDE for our appearance. 4. General Terrace Growth: The Terrace continues to grow as more and more people become more better friends and more deeply connected to the YSIDE Family. 5. Youth Growth: After some changes in personnel over the Off Season, but the KGB and Youth of YSIDE have continued to grow stronger and stronger in numbers showing that the future of Active Support in the Yarraside End is indeed very bright. Braveheart
Great post. Always a very constructive idea to review your progress and be proud of what is achieved. Iam personally very proud of what we have done, overcome and how we have flourished. Sometimes it's easy to question why we put in so much time, effort and finance(you know who im looking at) but when you look back at it all, there was never any doubt. Well in, chaps. Forever Y-side. Libero
would add the people in the terrace actually want to contribute to the club. ie. #onemelburnian, and the amount of new flags we have this year. and another achievement would be the connection we have with the club itself. the club have proved that they will listen.

All positives but these things are not new. We have always had a legion of dedicated people willing to work for this terrace additionally We also have always had a great yet independent relationship with the club. PS %90 aren't new. They have just been reintroduced
theresonlyonebzamora
Whilst there will always remain work to do, I feel a metaphorical nod of the metaphorical hat is deserved for those in a position of 'leadership' for guiding the YS this far - I'm sure if the wider terrace knew the scale of the efforts involved they would be incredibly grateful. Well in indeed. Edited January 21, 2013 by theresonlyonebzamora

Joel21
Have to say that Y-side, in particular R.K probably brings out the funniest/most original chants in the league

xXJawsaXx
Even if this seems small I still think it can be classed as an achievement of some kind I suppose. There has not been one home game this year that I haven't looked forward to. Most of the reason being the terrace. No matter whether the team is winning or losing, or partaking in a trademark 0-0 draw we always find a way to make the game memorable. Even though we lost the Derby for example, the tifo was such a highlight. I think I showed photos of it to about 20 different people to showcase how amazing and how committed the senior members are to their team. The new years day game against Newcastle when we didn't give the Jets players their ball at half time. Even though I have not really personally met any of you (I hope that changes but commitments keep me away from the Imp, you have probably seen me though, tall kid with big stretchers. I donated some drumsticks at the Adelaide game ) you all feel like family, all supporting the club we love. I know that I am probably not alone, but I think it is an achievement that you can make a cynical bastard like me feel this way haha! The Yarraside is a welcoming place where we have a laugh and show our love for our team, and I think that the creation of this friendly environment is a massive achievement.

Gate7
just remove the black tarp in bay 16! and also maybe seperate bay 16 from the other bays by having a thin black tarp running down the side of the bays next to Bay 16? like the away end vs WSW on the last game.
