Newcastle Jest

Some of his decisions have been diabolical. Starting Hoffman week in, week out and leaving Fitzy on the pine. Continually playing Koutroumbis at left back. Surely he know's they're shit, so why play an extremely attacking full back like Millar away from home when you could play Koutroumbis at RB and Millar on the wing to at least offer more in defence and use Millars pace on the counter. It's like Ernie's just going through the motions knowing they can't afford to sack him and pay him out.

With a new manager (who seems great tbh), Hoolahan finally fit and the signings of ex-Wales international Joe Ledley and Bernie Ibini who is admittedly a bit of a drifter but pretty good as far as A-League attackers go, I can see Newcastle doing pretty well for the rest of the season and tbh they could even make a big push next season if they can keep Petratos.

Martin Lee has had his license revoked. Hopefully this is a quick dollar for the new A-League if they can move the license on. Rumours were there was some interest in buying the club for $8m in November, hopefully that can be rekindled.

Newcastle has been pretty much a poisoned chalice for its owners. Very surprising really - the area has a very strong history of the roundball game.
