Big news this morning out of the UK!

Reports Andy Carroll has been offered to Newcastle and Man City, as a straight swap for Demba Ba and to the other as a make weight for Tevez.

It has also been revealed that Demba Ba has a £7m release clause.

The FA today award the FA Cup tie to Manchester after accepting Patrice Evra's claim that his team in fact scored 6 times. Despite 5 of the goals not being caught by any of the players, the crowd, or the TV cameras, the FA found Mr. Evra a very convincing witness. On other hand, 'we found Mr. Reina's testimony to be totally unreliable. He admitted conceding one goal but was unable to come up with any evidence at all of saving any of the other 5. Since, Mr. Reina could not prove he saved 5 goals, we concluded that they must have been scored'. The referee said that he didn't recall 6 goals being scored but couldn't be sure as he threw his notes away after the game.

Liverpool recorded their first Barclays Premier League victory of 2012 with an emphatic 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Tuesday night. After an end-to-end first half, Andy Carroll opened the scoring on 52 minutes when he turned Charlie Adam's cross home at the back post courtesy of a well-taken finish.

Craig Bellamy quickly doubled the Reds' lead when he found the back of the net with a low effort from the edge of the area for his ninth of the season so far.

Dirk Kuyt sealed the win with his goal when he fired home from a tight angle following a quick-fire counter attack.

I love this fucken Cat. :D

Scouser, you realise that Geelong's nickname of the "Cats" derives from a story of which the crux of it is about a Black Cat running on the field in a VFL Reserves Game and reversing the fortunes of the game.

Until very recently all efforts were made for all Cats associated with the club (Emblems/Mascots etc) to still be a Black Cat wearing the Navy and White Hoops. It still annoys me that the rule is not really observed any more.

The cat seen running around Anfield during last night's goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur bore an uncanny resemblance to a famous moggy who was the club's unofficial mascot in the 80s.

Moglet, as the feline was affectionately known, was the cat on the match programme cover in the 1982-83 season pictured with the Milk Cup.

It was adopted by the club's ground staff after being left abandoned outside the stadium gates.

Moglet was considered a lucky omen by the players and staff at Anfield at the time, though our feline friend from the 80s has long since sadly passed away.

However, with King Kenny's men back at Wembley in the Carling Cup final this year, is this new cat a long lost relative of Moglet?

Decide for yourselves by comparing the two pictures below.

That is fucken Awesome - so similar!

I once saw some black and white midday movie as a little kid about a cat who inherited a baseball team when the owner died - lol.

I loved it, turned out the cat was the good luck charm...

Of course what happened was they lost it in the finals and started to lose only to find the pussy and win the championship.

EDIT – The Movie is called “Rhubarb” and was made in 1951.
