Woody
The most shattered i've been after a football game ever. Hopefully we don't fall back into bad habits and can hold onto our key players or find long term replacements for next season.

JoyfulPenguin
Crewe lose 2-1 to newly promoted Fleetwood Town continuing our proud tradition of not winning on the first day of the season in 20 years. Not looking good don't have a single proven striker or centre backs. Need a good loan signing quick.
mus-28
Hard to look past Watford for promotion, Vydra and Deeney up front is by far the best partnership in the league.
Young Polak
Why haven't you cunts picked up on this already http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30596649 Emile Heskey: Bolton Wanderers sign ex-England striker Former England striker Emile Heskey has joined Championship side Bolton Wanderers on a short-term contract. The 36-year-old has been training with the club and made an appearance for their under-21 side on Monday. Heskey, who scored seven goals in 62 England games, was released by Australian A-League side Newcastle Jets in April. "He will make us better, so for me it was a no-brainer," Bolton manager Neil Lennon told BBC Radio 5 live. "He's got real qualities - his physical presence, his touch, his awareness is still of a very high calibre. "These kind of players, they still have the quality. Their legs might go a little bit but he's still in very good condition for his age. "It's a short-term deal so financially it won't hurt the club." Bolton, 16th in the Championship, are awaiting international clearance for Heskey. Lennon said he "could be" named in the squad for the Boxing Day game at home to Blackburn. Lennon is a former Leicester team-mate of Heskey, who also played for Liverpool, Birmingham, Wigan and Aston Villa. He has scored 119 goals in 563 league games. His last appearance in English football came for Villa against Norwich in May 2012, and his most recent goal was for Villa against Blackburn in August 2011. Bolton recently signed another 36-year-old striker in Eidur Gudjohnsen, who returned to his former club following a similar trial spell. Lennon added: "Eidur's playing very well at the minute as well, so there's no reason not to play the two of them."

Robbie Slater must have been right when he said the A-League is better than the championship.

Shahanga
I managed to join the rest of the world today and caught up that AFC Wimbledon had done the unthinkable and won promotion to League 1, a mere 13 years after the supporters broke away and founded a community club, starting in the 10th Tier of English Football. For those that don't know it all came about when the owner of Wimbledon announced he was moving the team to the town of Milton Keynes, effectively disenfranchising the fan base. Amazingly, unlike in Australia, where all (well so many as not to matter about the rest) the VFL fans just rolled over when this happened to South Melbourne, Wimbledon fans were mobilised to start a new, local again, club and even got other fans to boycott the old Wimbledon (rebadged as MK Dons) games until the Wimbledon trophies were returned to their borough. This is a great story of fan triumph over the modern soulless corporate ownership model. Hopefully it won't be the last. Oh and the penny just dropped - the beast of a striker who kept scoring in the playoffs and who's pen sent them up - the veteran Mr Adebayo Akinfenwa. Also known to one man at least as - yes you got it, Sam's "Fat Forward". Edited May 31, 2016 by Shahanga "fat forward" update
