Good result, all things considered. Adelaide really are a turd team. Mauk is a total prick. Is there a crowd that boos more? Who is our GK coach at the moment? Glover has clearly regressed in terms of some of the GK fundamentals ... If we can ride the wave, and stay thereabouts, we do have the potential to go on a good run which could put us back in contention ... Coaching staff needs some strengthening ... -
I look forward to seeing our new signings warm up for 90 minutes on the sidelines

Patrick Kisnorbo - most swol manager in the league
Torn Asunder replied to Jimmy's topic in Melbourne City
The tards are sitting at the top of the ladder ... put this down not to an outstanding list of players, but to having a very good a-league level coach I've just about run out of patience with PK ... I've been to all our home games this season, watched all his pressors ... and to me he is failing badly. Very poor game management and doesn't use his bench ... doesnt seem capable of improving and clearly Des was the main man last year in terms of the tactical brains. Fuck him off and get us someone good ... he can stay on as team bouncer -

Was at the game - crowd was small Clearly impacted by Covid and then the extra time Cup game ... good effort to come back. We keep conceding soft goals, which would be very frustrating after working so hard to make our chances. PK needs someone beside him who is able to influence his decision making regarding game management - he is literally a spud - he is very frustrating to watch on the sidelines as he is constantly telling the players what to do, and TBH, I don't even think they listen to him when he yells, claps or whistles at them ... he gets so invested in what is happening in the moment that he doesnt think forward Only one sub ...wtf ... especially after the plague came through and impacted training and we had an ET game mid week - that is seriously dumb ... if you want to watch a car crash, here is his answer to lack of subs and not playing Steff - to me, his dumbness is costing us the season - bring back Des .... (see at 3:10) -
I will be writing to the club and asking what action will be taken against the tards for their atrocious behaviour...

Tard active a disgrace. They sent a few of there morons into our active ... then got beaten up. I think our ground announcer was involved in the fisticuffs Their active also had a banner in the 2nd half "Disease of Football, Fuck CFG" Kisnorbo is useless when it comes to using his bench. JMAC was cactus as was Flo and he has Colovski and the Italian on the bench ... I reckon those two on and we'd have scored the 3rd ... instead turnover and the rest is history Nabout was also out on his feet and should have come off 5 or so minutes prior. O'Neil also needs to play more forward balls. Often he has good space in front, but goes wide, killing our attacks. Bring back Des .... And Victory are genuine scum

MCY vs Glory holes 8th December Wednesday, 7:45

I think Des was invaluable last year ... PK needs someone like that. You see it even with the subs ... he is oblivious to them during the game. They look disinteretsed when they are doing their warm ups, its like they know they are wasting their time and probably wont get a run Also, the language and his attitude in the pressers is terrible - he is ultra defensive in his whole demeanor - like he is trying to intimidate the journos, but not in a a Jose Mourinho charismatic way, but more in a "Im gonna punch you in the throat if you ask me a bad question" way -

Cold and unpleasant evening at the stadium. Curtis Good monstered the defence and was the linchpin for most of our plays. Tillio in the midfield gave us more confidence to play through the middle at times, and it seemed that we were almost ready to click in attack ... but not quite there and hard when a team parks the bus against us, and our front three are yet to gel. PK really is not coaching well ... he has said that the front 3 will eventually click (which they may), and he has no expectation on them to play well - he rates their quality and he is happy for them to take their time to find their groove. When a player (like Leckie) is struggling, by persisting with him for as long as PK did, you are literally draining him of any confidence ... both he, and JMac were forlorn towards the end of the game. In fact Leckie seemed shattered by his poor game. Perhaps PK would be better starting him on the bench, or switching him with JMAC, or playing a 4-4-2, rather than persisting with a plan that just isnt working. I also find it inexcusable that he is yet to give Colakovski a go, even as sub ... These kids have no fear and lots of potential - throw em on! Look what Tillio, then Nathaniel gave us last night .... Instead we get stale tactics, and players being played into less form Griffiths and Nathaniel into the team last year sparked a run of good form ... hoping the team turn it around soon -
no culture in our game plan. Dominate physically, run the other team of their legs, and wild crosses to Matt Simon, oh, I mean a fit and strong centre forward whose main job is to put defensive pressure on the defenders ... rubbish game plan and does nothing for the game in Australia ...
-
team needs Tillio and Arzani - players with the ability to beat a man and create. TBH our whole squad and gameplan should be built around these two, with Mooy sitting in behind ... We tried to bully the win last night ... for all our huffing and puffing, the Saudis still made much better chances than us ... If Arnold sticks with the current crop of players, we will be lucky to make it, and if we do we wont get out of our group ...

Just worked out that the Paramount App will not be on any TV older than 5 years (at least Samsung) This is really poor and limiting. A 5 year old TV is not too old ... chromecast is a lessor option and does not stream anywhere near as well -

The focus was immense. Our 1st goal was through sheer drive. The lads and Jamo were not gonna let us lose. Just awesome that he took and converted the penalty. When Galloway scored our 3rd thoroughly deserved team goal, I had a tear or two and could finally let it sink in. Amazing to dominate Sydney ... We got the double, JMac the Golden Boot, PK coach of the season, we were directly responsible for putting the Tards to the bottom of the ladder, and did it playing some glorious football, with some genuine Aussie talent. I do feel for JMac, Connor and Good, but hats off to the club, and the lads for adapting and getting us the trophy. -

No way to unlock the family deal, but tickets secured. Fuck you Sydney -
“Melbourne City is that place for me, both on and off the pitch. “This group is special and we’re building something unique. “When people think of Melbourne City, we want our fans to see our strong culture, enjoy our style of attacking football and to celebrate with us when we win trophies. We work hard every day to achieve this. “For the fans, when I hear you chant my name, it motivates me to score. I feel very lucky, I’m a proud Melbourne boy who gets to represent this great football club.” These words are a thing of beauty - Jamie, you are a legend already!

Suck it Victory. They would have been going for us, happy when we scored, concerned when Newcastle scored, but probably still hopeful we'd grab a winner, be stressed by our players being injured, becoming more and more desperate for us to get that goal, shattered when Newcastle got their 2nd goal, and then bitterly disappointed when we couldn't get a goal back, and then realise that'd just supported us so they could avoid coming last, but all to no avail. Double whammy. In terms of us, some strange playing decisions tonight ... on such a cold night, why risk players, when an extra week off would make all the difference -

Let's not forgot something ... we have to win. Forget the celebrations, focus on winning. Fingers crossed that Griff and Good both pull up well, because without those two, we aint likely to beat CCM -

Worked hard to get 2 one up, and then one horrible, horrible, horrible, inexplicable, inexcusable, shitfull turnover cost us 2 points. That is why I could hear JMac from 80 metres away scream "fuuuccckkkk!!!" at the end of the game Yep, I couldn't agree more. -
Didn't play our best against a team that pushed us and still won 4 nil. Offered to buy Jammo a beer after their game, if we win the plate ... he said he'll buy me one! R Griffiths got us back in control once he went into midfield. Really enjoyed giving Mauk a bake from the sidelines. Others around me also got into the spirit of calling him out for the turd he is Fuck Harper and Archie ... Foxtel really wants to punish our collective sanity by having these two Victory flogs in commentary at our games

City v. Brisbane, Sunday 9th May 2021, 4.05 p.m. AAMI Park
Torn Asunder replied to jw1739's topic in Melbourne City
We looked very good initially, although JMac actually looked off in the warm-up, which carried into his finishing ... but he still got into killer positions, with several great chances. Brisbane were defending with a back 5, and really only had two options for goal ... fast break and set piece. I think we were a bit lethargic off the back of the Perth game. R Griffiths is very important to us, so it's a positive that we won whilst he got a spell. In truth, with the chances we made, we could have had 5 or 6 goals ... but to still win when a bit flat is actually a great sign ... -
Huh, there's a game tonight? Glory vs City 9:20PM @ NIB Stadium
Torn Asunder replied to haz's topic in Melbourne City
You cannot overstate how big this win was for us. Perth has been the place of many nightmares for City. Not only did we achieve a come from behind win, for the most part we bossed them. And for the 1st time ever, we actually had a plan to counter Castro, who normally kills us. We seem even more assured when Des is running the show .... just saying Galloway was very good tonight .... I thought we'd really miss Nathaniel , but it looks like Galloway do the job, and also create ... Not getting ahead of myself, but if we do win the plate, I'm gonna go to whatever celebration the club runs and get absolutely maggot'd ... and if i meet anyone from this forum at said event, I'm buying shots! -

Wollongong Wolves/Wellington Phoenix vs City. 7:10 Monday 5 April
Torn Asunder replied to Shahanga's topic in Melbourne City
NA's injury was avoidable under better player management. He was cooked last couple of games towards the end ... clearly needed a spell and now he's out for weeks. We will miss him. He has been a crucial cog in our play, and has been outstanding in our recent hot spell. We aren't as lethal in hotter conditions ... our attacking style is great, but I think it should be employed smarter when its hot ... although we fckdup most our counter attacking chances last night, we are making some stunningly lethal counter attacks. Maybe they need to practice finishing off these types of chances better, because as a team, we seem clueless when it comes to the lethal moment. A bunch of our guys looked spent last night ... Griff, Jmac, Noone and Nabbout in particular. And what a surprise that our young subs came on and won us the game. Tilio's interview after the game was all about finally getting his chance, and how all the senior players have kept encouraging him and and the other bench warmers to stay positive. This tells me that there is knowledge among the players that there should be better rotation of the squad on match day regarding subs.
