Ok, I've updated the first post with a list (advise me if the names and numbers are wrong).
If anyone knows any details of who's got what affliction lets us know and I'll update the list as needed.

Is Kalmars injury back related? He was out for ages and had surgery once before didn't he?
Germano seems very fragile
Didn't know about Weilart, what's happened there?
I read Engelaar is a shin knock so fingers crossed all's ok.
Not a good start to this season injury wise looking at that list, some key names there. Infact we seem to have had it pretty bad most seasons it feels. Could it be that our training facilities aren't helping?

Can this get stickied/pinned?
I'll keep updating when I can. All injury related discussion welcome in here and feel free to advise on the player list aswell.

I would have thought the awareness of the new seasons memberships would be a high priority for the club. Ala, inform all past and current members that they are available for renewal.
I have only found out about the release because I occasionally visit here, many people I know have no idea they can renew. This is massively negligent of the club and will result in a worse retention rate than what could be.
Just to add some mismanagement icing on the cake, I emailed David Lyon (Marketing and Fan Engagement Manager) to voice my concerns at the handling of this and, low and behold... Old mate is on annual leave until 4th of July.
Now, everyone has to have a work/life balance but seriously, try to be present when you release the product that should produce your clubs main source of income... And tell people about it!!!

As somebody that sat on the wing for the CCM game, I thought the best chant for the whole night was the first 5 minutes with the *clap* *clap* heart! chant, that seemed to go on forever. It's an easy one for everybody to get into, and one that could also help get people into the mood at the start of the game and turn into a bit of a tradition.
This
Sounded great at the derby, definately one that can spread around the ground. So basic and sounds powerful.

There used to be someone in the A-Reserve near the bench who let JVS know every ten minutes that it was "time to go". They also called out asking why Thompson wasn't playing as a defender. Yeah.
In JVS we trust.
Sounds like the same bloke who wants us to kick it long all the time

Based on yesterdays game what we put out there was in complete contrast to our previously poor home form, unfortunately the result doesn't show it.
IMO that is the highest quality full 90 game we have played at home and if we maintain that level when at AAMI we will win more than we lose/draw there.

Speaking as someone sitting behind the Heart bench...
1. Our home form is poor. We have won at home only three times since the First Derby. We need to start scoring goals and winning regularly at AAMI before the non-active members and casuals will start to join in.
2. The chants with the best chance of catching on should be simple and family friendly.
I reckon the best chances are with:
'Come on you boys in red' and 'Ooh, ooh Melbourne Heart, sha-la-la etc.' Those two sound fantastic when YS are in full voice.
I've tried a few times with the first, e.g. at corners and so on, to no avail. It may be a while before people will feel comfortable at throwing off their inhibitions, so give it time.
I also sit behind the Heart bench and I heard one chant coming from the southern end that stood out to me at the Glory game just gone (not sure if it was used last night as I wasn't there) as a chant that would catch on with the majority of people all over the stadium.
It basically focussed on the word "Heart" and contained a clap routine and WAS NOT "Heart clap clap clap" as that would suck.
Unfortunately I only heard it once and for a short period of time so apologies for my limited description, but if anyone knows what I am talking about, chime in with what it is called and exactly how it goes.
It would be easy to drill into the psyche of the masses, one that could be used when the team needs a lot of noise and support from everyone and one to help everyone celebrate.
Clearly the supporter groups lead the active support and you do a great job but one thing that is defining is the silence around the ground from everyone else at times
Getting something like this to catch on can only help build a bigger and more purposeful supporter base. I believe the families etc would love to have just one simple chant they could belt out at a game.
