    Robert Koren's calf injury

Round 1 Away: Named (Late Withdrawal)

Round 2 Home: Promoted (Did not play)

    Round 3 Melb: 4-6 weeks

    Round 4 Home: 3-5 weeks

    Round 5 Away: 3-5 weeks

    Round 6 Home: 2-4 weeks

    Round 7 Home: 2-3 weeks

    I'm expecting:

    Round 8 Away: 1-3 weeks

    Round 9 Home: 1-2 weeks

Round10 Away: 1 week (Not taking any risks this time)

Derby 2 Home: Substitute (with 20-30 mins to play)

Round12 Home: Start (Play 60 mins)

Weekend's teams' lists just came out:

    Round 8: 1-2 weeks - he's ahead of schedule!

Round 9: 2 weeks, back on schedule!

Lucky for him/us next week's match has been moved so that's one less game we won't have him for since it's been moved to March.

If next week (Rd10 for everyone else) he's theoretically "1 week" away then I'm still hoping he can make an appearance off the bench at the Derby as I originally predicted.

you better not have gone down there and given him a corky in the calf to get him back on your schedule

And now we have a worse record than New Zealand Knights :hkpalm:   Oh the shame of it all !!!!!!!!!!!!

Melbourne City's defence statistically the worst in A-League history

    http://www.theage.com.au/sport/soccer/melbourne-citys-defence-statistically-the-worst-in-aleague-history-20141201-11xojx.html

This is misleading - yes our defence is crap but they're comparing our record over 8 games to the record of the Knights over an entire season, so it's not the same thing.

That said: our defence is pretty terrible.

Lies, damn lies and statistics. Agree with you but I thought it was a great headline and yes there's a lot of truth in the headline anyway

I am willing to give city this "award" based solely on the 2 back pass assists in 2 weeks we produced. can't say I've witnessed that before

  3. I agree we have a shit list.. So sacking the coach what will that achieve??

In football terms not much, but for the supporters it will signal that this poor start to a season, plus not being able to win at home, plus losing 5-2 in the Darby and 5-1 to Wellington is not acceptable.. Thus sending a strong message through the club...

    The time is now...

To rebuild this team it will take time unless the CFG can terminate contacts at seasons end, not sure who contracts are expiring but I would assume some payout will occurs...

From what I can see, the players whose contracts end in 2015 are as follows (this list may be a little wrong, but hopefully it's mostly accurate):

    Wielaert

    Ramsay

    Murdocca

    Duff

    Germano

    Retre

    Velaphi

    Dugandzic

    Kisnorbo

Everyone else is a 2016 end, except Garuccio who is 2017 and Paartalu who is 2018, plus of course Liam Miller who is supposed to leave before the end of the year.

I see no reason for any of them to be retained (duff the exception but as previously stated he is only herefor the year)

  4. He was signed on September 5th 2011, which means he could have played a total of 94 games and counting:

    2011/12: 27

    2012/13: 27

    2013/14: 27

    2014/15: 13 (8 + 5 more since Miller's been signed as his injury replacement).

He has played a part in only 46; that's 49% of total games! For a Visa player that's shithouse!

I like the guy, he's a good player and I want to see him play, but if he can't get his body right at 26 years of age, he's not going to get any better with age.

As much as it hurts me to say this, I think it's time we cut our losses and sign a creative Visa player who will play more like 99% of games, not 49%!

    And no, not Miller!

Do you know the minutes he's played? My gut feel is that stat would make these numbers look even worse. Such a shame to see a guy with talent and endeavor not be able to realise his potential.
