Honestly I'm more disappointed in the yarraside disbanding... The whole short history of our club could have been kept with the yarraside but instead they disband? I understand where you all are coming from I'm in the same boat but I said from day 1 this happen I said I would support this club... I will show up in red and white and support the red and white team from melbourne! As far as I'm concerned yarraside disbanding is worst for our club then having sky blue on our home kit.

Obviously nothing is coming the way of any other team but do you honestly believe that Geelong are as clean as a whistle?
In regards to Performance Enhancing drugs I do believe we are squeaky clean because Frank Costa used that actual description to describe his time at the club and anyone who has meet Costa knows he is one man that you take at his word.
Despite hating Essendon I largely just feel sad about this whole saga because of the decent Essendon fans I know like yourself and my Grandfather... But then every now and then someone like Kingofhearts comes along trying to blame anyone but the bloke that got you in this mess (Including my own side) and I remember why I truly hate Essendon.
And FWIW the Geelong came from nowhere so they must have been on drugs theory could only be argued by a retard who started following footy in 2006... because the formline was clearly already there through out the mid 2000's.
My stance has, and always will be that James Hird employed people who without his knowledge, put some type of performance enhancing drugs into the essendon fc in the 2011 season. The bloke was a rookie coach, and unless you can show me some type of proof that he thought he consciously told Dank to put performance enhancing drugs into the essendon players i will always believe he will be an unfortunate victim of this scandal.
Just for arguments sake let's for one second imagine a world where him not knowing was possible let alone plausible; do you honestly think his negligence would make him a victim? Seriously? It's arguably even worse...

Anyone know why Celtic's ground was nicknamed the jungle?
It's not. The northern terrace (later an enclosed stand) was/is known as the jungle. From memory this was simply a nickname given to the terrace in the north end due to the wild/fanatical type of supporters who congregated there and their antics. It was a bit of a free for all as area was not 'allocated' and probably most importantly it was the cheapest spot to watch the game from.
Celtic's ground is officially known as: Celtic Park but most of the bhoys refer to it as 'Parkhead' or more commonly as simply 'Paradise'!

In 50 years nobody will look back and think "What a shame heart turned to city" because all that follows now is (hopefully) success.
In fact, I'm happy to be a part of the City family. Not only do we get financial security but we're now the biggest club in the A-League - just by being linked with City and thus will attract greater talent than other clubs in the HAL (Duff under the cap as an example).
The official name, Melbourne City, now gives us a claim to this city which I like.
Red and white is still a part of our badge (which honestly shits all over the heart one to be blunt) and I wouldn't be surprised if it is maintained as an away kit.
See the badge pisses me off just as much as the sky blue tbh.
What was the point of involving the Melbourne flag in the badge when it means so little to the majority of Melburnians? In fact, did most people on here even know we had a flag? If they actually did their homework, they would've realised that their are much more noteworthy Melbourne icons they could've used to put on the badge (Flinder street station, Trams, yarra river ext.) And to make things even worse they bought out that bullshit explanation on why the badge was the way it is! Give me a break
But at the end of the day we're just a feeder club for Man city as Jimmy was saying so we should just shut the hell up and be happy with whatever we are given.
To say we are a feeder club of Manchester OR a way for them to get around fair play rules is utter crap. Where is the proof?
The flag was decided to be used on the logo based upon what Yarraside did with it (and I think that is a pretty important gesture) and I didnt hear anyone complaining that noone knew what the flag was then? Plus, people kept going on about how red and white were the colours of Melbourne which was based on this flag that noone knows about.
This would all be well and good if it actually was the MELBOURNE flag on our crest. It's not. It's a Melb-chester bastardisation.
