Definitely keep club colours. Reserved seating for Derby's is a pain for us all, but it's in the best interest of the club...all seats will be allocated, more revenue, often leads to success. I think it needs to be communicated better upon taking out the m/ship. Alternative is to turn up 3hrs before the game, to avoid a Victard taking my allocation.

Any comments about our formation and style of play? I seen many long balls, chips up high etc. Perhaps JVS instructed the team to play counter attacking football. It seemed to me we intentionally played long, perhaps JVS and Nus found a fundamental gap in Well game plan??. Any comments/observations? It was exciting to watch, but can't play like that each week. Merrick was out coached IMO

My local council owns the land, doubt its for sale, as the council's books are very healthy (you should see my house rates) and more importantly the present lessee is Northcote City Footbal club whom have done reasonably well in the State league competiton. They've just been accepted by FFV to be part of the new NPL competition this year. A dual lease agreement may be reached, rather than a buyout. Great location, lots of potential. The only pool facitiities that I'm aware of is Ivanhoe pools, which is only a short drive. Or will City owners look to develop... possible industrial sites over the road who can make some way at the right price! I can confirm the main ground is sub-standard, the stadium is small, average and old. I have heard there's no FIFA endorsed synthetic grounds in Victoria! But the main ground is crapy turf and I believe there's one other that borders the Darebin Creek thats also turf (I cycle past it on my way to work). The Harvest Rd Epping stadium (Whittlesea Ranges NPL new ground) is significantly better but a bit remote for many of our supporters. Personally, I couldn't care less where it is, so long as we are accessable to as many Melbournians as possible. keep home colors, change away jersey all you like!! We can compromise with our name so long as Heart is listed. As mentioned many times before, Sydney have sky blue jerseys and our rivals have navy blue. I doubt very much we will change our home jersey entirely.

Yarra side was brilliant last night, thought you were loud, covered a lot of seating area also. Great win, this is definitely a turning point. Had moments where I thought I was watching Brisbane attacking while passing the ball around (mass). I stayed a long time afterwards to meet players. Kewell was fantastic both during and after game. Looking forward to our next game, and I bet the players are too.

Maybe instead of building new training facilities, we can train at and use Lakeside Stadium as our base - can't get much more central than that. It even has a skyish-blue running track It also has a awesome swimming pool, running track and gym over the road and offices all around it. As long as we have no ties what so ever with that other club.....

Agree with the existing AFL ovals. In Footscray, Yarraville, Spotswood and some of Newport there is a lot of derelict buildings that can be demolished and an academy established. Also along the ring road there is still a lot of land. Bundoora is OK and gets the community thing happening - only drawback is trying to ge there if you want to watch training. Admittedly not as far as Epping but.... There is an RSL next to it but I don't know who owns the land. Council owns land and charges 50k for any team wishing to make it it's base. For a while it was empty, but an existing local team moved in whittlesea ......(can't remember). It's a growing location, council plans for medium density living. But, not a great spot to encourage all Melbournians to follow our club.

First 30min brought us more of that long ball crap, but they reacted nicely to the Jets goal. Congrats, Enjoy the win everybody. There's hope....for 90min of decent football. Lots of positives from tonight's perf.

Every second or third game, Wielart is out of position which costs us a goal. He would have never got away with those mistakes in the Dutch league. I don't understand.
