  1. Brent McGrath - has been brought up many times already. Presently with Bentleigh (NPL) side. Anybody seen him play recently? If decent, we could pick him up as a super cheap 3rd striker. Still young and can develop....master his trade and learn from visa striker and our very own Williams. in Summary: One Socceroo appearance 3 yrs with Brondby Denmark a spell with Adelaide united. was trialled by Victory 22 yrs old
  2. Directly opposite the campus, over the road, kind of behind the next to/behind the AFL ground you can see from the road.
  3. Ok, status quo is no option, unless they can extend existing club facility and create a non water logged ground in a matter of weeks at Latrobe. thus must consider another venue now for the interim .,,, Sth Melb ground??
  4. Why happens in the off season? Any developments will not be ready by off season training commencement!!! Does our team get hoared around to community based clubs parks like last season?? I don't think our owners will be happy with that idea, nor will any marquee or injury replacement player!!!
  5. what is the man up to thesee days? is he in manchester?
  6. I met Behich senior on the way to my car. Great bloke, even played for the preston Lions in his hey day, which makes me like him even more. More to the point, he said Behich has an amazing passion for winning and can be very hard on himself. As a kid he always locked himself in his room after a loss. Perhaps he did the same last night.., Anyway, he says he's back to Turkey during off season to see if he fits in and is wanted, otherwise he's back home. Pledges his commitment to the Aust squad. Kewell is his idol.
  7. Wow, those wandered fans were awesome. Organized, coordinated and they sounded great. There were even old people in there chanting. Amazing, and they sound great on the replay TV too. No disrespect to yarra side who do a wonderful job, but this group were united, and louder. Look forward to our club becoming stronger on the pitch, attract more active fans etc
  8. He's been encouraged to go forward this second half of the season. JVS has got more out of him then Aloisi. But, it's was JVS that didn't do him any favors when he first arrived to Heart. He moved him around constantly, turned a promising striker into a lost puppy. Let's not forget. I've been harsh too, but the poor guy has been pushed around a bit. BTW he was ok tonight, thought his goal would have been saved by COvic, did well partnering with Mate
  9. Article came out on 31st (when I first saw it). Is this the reporter that gave Gombau a hard time for the first 10 games?!! If so, he was clearly unprofessional at the time, this no surprise.
  10. Adelaide United coach Josep Gombau linked to Melbourne Heart’s top job March 31, 2014 9:23PM http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/football/adelaide-united-coach-josep-gombau-linked-to-melbourne-hearts-top-job/story-fnibbvew-1226870202768
  11. This is exactly what the owners want to see, a tally. How many will change there position if we kept colours, but changed name only? My view is Keep our colours, they are unique and probably the only geniune football team colours in the Aleague. City is better than the Heart name. Heart as nickname.
  12. yep, i'll second this. He and family are Heart fans. He's fairly loyal, passionate and was extremely aggressive playing at Preston Lions. I heard rumblings that he'd love to play for Heart, just like Bresciano.
  13. Midfielder, I like: Valeri Carl 14/08/1984 29 Ternana Calcio Italy (2) Serie B Midfielder 1/3/14 Used sub. complete list of Aussies abroad here: http://www.ozfootball.net/ark/Abroad/2014-02.html
  14. ok, thanks for pointing that out. yep, i'm defensive, perhaps its a father thing. i'm a little precious when i read about "entitlement" too. lets move on.
  15. Yarraside swearing is nothing new. If people didn't want their kids near it they would stop choosing to sit in the southern end. I would also like to point out that you are absolutely clueless as to how much effort is required and goes in to running YS and this by people who are very time poor. I can guarantee I have spent more time in preparation for one single game (xmas derby) than you have spent at AAMI park watching heart this season. Your accusations are ridiculous and you should consider relocating to the north end. Bullshit - I'm a full paying family member and I'll take MY kids any where I like. I like to think I'm a responsible parent (and passionate Heart fan), thus won't sit in or directly near active bay (with them). More importantly, who are you to order me North??
  16. Yep. Wisen up. The foul language makes me cringe on this forum.
  17. Re Training today. Anything news worthy?
  18. Remember how we beat them, by shutting down Hernandez. This time around they will be better prepared. The jets did the same to OE last week.
  19. Our new owners are ambitious. I've read that an Asian team is on there agenda. No doubt they would want to tap into the massive Asian football fans and build the City brand. Can't wait for Our club to take that ride with them!!
  20. He won't be here (or first choice) next season
  21. JVS - nice to have a win, but the team needs to grow and "BrING MORE". Can't wait til derby day! We are without Behich or Gerhadt, but I hope we seal a win!
  22. Glad we have a win. Only aleague do we have last team win over 1st team.
  23. Kicked one goals. Looked sharp. The delivery to him wasn't great. Once or twice he was out of position (behind player instead is the front), got caught off side only once!! Edit: Mifsud kicked 1...not 2
  24. Too early to call for the Golden Boot. Willo is 1/4 in the mix, and, the famous Albanian is not far behind on 8. Key difference is consistency over the season and Willo is not. But I do hope he's momentum continues.
