  1. Well, where to start… Positives: A better more cohesive second half in attack Negatives: The team is a dysfunctional dependent group. This isn’t an issue with individuals; yes, I agree that we have an aging list, lots of injuries, but as a team we are frightened and tentative, slow with and without the ball. We lost possession with the ball so many times as there were no passing options. Every player is looking for another player to take responsibility.
  2. We look better in attack but we’ll likely concede another few before the end of the game
  3. Wow, Roar had an attack and didn’t score! Because last season, we didn’t play them. What does Caputo need to do to get on before 80 minutes?
  4. I think that the problem is that PK was such a dominating control freak that he inadvertently created a very dependent group. Radio recognised this and asked the players to be more creative, but the playing group itself hasn’t found a way to accept responsibility as a cohesive group; nobody takes responsibility.
  5. It’s much easier to convert when there’s no pressure on you at all. Most players at this level will get a shot on target with no pressure
  6. A lucky half for us; it’s only 4-0. It would be 6 or 7-0 against a good team
  7. We. Are. So. Slow. With the ball and without it. We can’t keep the ball or pass the ball, even if we could pass it, nobody seems to know where to pass, where to run. This is a coaching issue.
  8. Equivalent. No, actually worse, because Adelaide were actually a good team then, we are just making Roar look good. There’s no pressure at all on their players, acres of space, even a pub team will look good. We’ll only score of there’s a Roar OG but we aren’t even putting enough pressure on their defence for that.
  9. No organisation, no structure, nobody knows what to do, what runs to make, where to pass. We are looking at another 6-0 drubbing; well deserved on the effort so far
  10. No defensive structure into defensive transition, it allows Roar to push or pass close to goal before there’s even a challenge. We’re just making it hard for ourselves. Runs not tracked. It’s like the stronger the team gets on paper, the less effort the players believe that they need
  11. 4 minutes in and Roar has had 3 shots on target, one goal.😱
  12. Amazing final selection, who would have picked it? Qatar playing at home
  13. Possession-based football is hard; it's high risk, high reward. It requires teamwork, speed and endurance, a good understanding of when to team press and accurate passing and movement off the ball; all qualities our team lacks this year.
  14. Yes, he's right. If the players feel attacked, then they become defensive. Once they are defensive, they aren't open to learning. We don't want them to try harder; we need them to try differently; to do this, they need to be open and curious and work together collectively.
  15. There's no doubt that the team's performance is far lower than the sum of its parts. Publicly bagging [players is not the way to improve it, though. Look at how Ange publicly responds to Spurs' bad games or players' poor performances as an example of how to motivate players.
  16. I only watched the first half, we didn't play too badly, although, as usual, we wasted too many chances and conceded an unnecessary penalty. It's not surprising that we have the lowest shot conversion rate in the League, and this is what is hurting us. The year that we won the double, our conversion rate was the highest in the League. I agree, it isn't helpful to publicly bag the team that you are coaching. That's our job
  17. The quality that's really lacking on the pitch is on-field leadership. I don't expect that to be addressed with Tilio or Jeggo, so Sahki's visa replacement is a crucial signing for a better second half of the season.
  18. Damn autocorrect😂
  19. Good to have him back; we really don't have such a strong bench this season and have few players apart from Antonis that we have been able to change the game after coming off the bench. We now have Tilio, Jakolis and Leckie and Patel as wingers; which gives us strong bench options. We still have a visa spot and some cash, depending on how much space we have in the salary cap.
  20. Perhaps they do, let's see how they use the money and the vacant visa spot.
  21. It seems from Petrillo's comments, that we aren't done yet.
  22. Look at the bright side: the Visit0rs released a player at the start of his career in a fit of pique, now he's worth $2M for a half-season loan, no payment to the Visit0rs😂. Aziz gets a late-career payout, we are without him for half a season We are cashed up and have a visa spot.
  23. 😀A reputation laundering business. At least we are a solvent reputation laundering business.
