  1. Mitchinson has proved he is a good player at A-League level, but I would love to see Phil Petreski get his chance. IMO he could probably do more than Mitchinson, i.e. Behich style
  2. So glad immigration let Tadic go to Wellington after his visa bungle. If we were without him I would be worrying about our chances. Still Walker and Mitchinson are capable as is Vrankovic, but I still have concerns about Gray at CB.
  3. Bloody joke of a footbridge, what a waste of public money and time!
  4. Look I'll be lying if I'm not upset with the result. Football is a game where if you don't take your chances the other team will punish you and that is what happened tonight for us, sadly. The defence was actually quite solid I thought. The midfield, well shit me, how improved was our passing in the middle. Why can't we fucking work like that every week. Thought having Germano back really did help us, in particular him and Fred did control the middle of the park and their distribution was bloody good. Also thought Matty Thompson actually played to his standard tonight, which was bloody good to see, hopefully they can carry it into next week. Look Williams played really well, he actually made some damaging and threatening runs and crosses tonight, which he hadn't done since round one. Puzzled as to why Garcia was subbed as well. Still think Tadic is one of the best 3 or 4 strikers in the league but he just doesn't get the same delivery Berisha and Smeltz get, just wish the guy could score one, he is just a confidence player, the flood gates will open for him, he just needs to get good delivery each week, not only in derby games. Wish we could play with that much passion in every game.
  5. Just saw that Fred, Tadic and Kalmar picked up slight knocks in training today, but should be ok for the Derby
  6. Watched Goldfinger the other day, what a quality movie, old but still a bloody good film
  7. Sorry to also be a cunt but got a 92.25. So pretty happy with that
  8. I believe he was at one stage playing with one of the South Melbourne teams. Also played for Western Suburbs. In the previous pre-season he looked the goods in a practice match we played at Port Melbourne. JD was very keen on him at the time, so I was surprised we didn't sign him then. Current Malvern City keeper
  9. First time at the Gimp tonight, ripper venue, pity it was destroyed by a couple of blunders. Firstly, Thomspon, Hoffman and Fred must go ASAP. Both Fred and Thompson sadly are over the hill, even though they once tore the league apart, they are far from the form this season. Hoffman is just a potato. Our ball distribution is actually piss poor. It is beyond a disgrace. As for Bolton, the guy pulls off some ripper saves, but his blunders are seriously costly and he makes too many for such an experienced keeper.
  10. Redmayne time in the derby!
  11. Him and sibon have quad strains i think. Maycon may come in as replacement though so don't be worried Cant forget Wormy, his hamstring has been troublesome this season
  12. Like the design, very sharp, great stuff LR9
  13. Will never happen as Collingwood wouldn't let this happen and we'd need to spend quite a bit of money of seating and stands if we did relocate there.
  14. Looking forward to getting down to the Gimp for the first time. The game should be interesting as both sides will be at full strength. We can get a result if we play 90 minutes and don't have brain fades and actually get some passing together in the midfield.
  15. Gillard digging her own grave as usual, bloody nuff nuff
  16. Positives and negatives today. Some Negatives: Lack of creativity in midfield These guys bleed every week for the club and give it everything but Fred and Thompson look to be past their best, not just today but for the majority of the season. Positives: The way Walker and Mitchinson played was really impressive. Astute defending and some good attacking runs down the wings, they also made a couple of very good tackles. Tadic had a few good moments I thought, with better service he would be an absolute jet. Bolton, although he was shaky at times, was solid on the whole and kept a clean sheet. Gerhardt and Colosimo pretty much shut down Mehmet and Smeltz, zero influence on the game. Also well done to the Yarraside boys, lots of voice today I thought
  17. Hope he recovers well, takes his time doing his rehabilitation and comes back fresh for next year, feel for the guy. Also heard JA say we aren't going to sign a replacement, i.e. an NYL player will be promoted. Thoughts on who that might be?
  18. It's ok guys, Warney will make a comeback for the test team.............................. The bloke bowled some serious pies last night
  19. Warney last year came back, lost weight was looking good physically, bowls average. Macgill comes back with a beer gut and grey hairs, like a real man and took wickets. Still shows this form (20/20) is all just take the piss
  20. I am going tonight. Always good to go and have a laugh and watch the hit and giggle, the BBL is nothing more than that.
  21. Michael Lynch's article today: Youngsters Sam Mitchinson, a left-back, and Jeremy Walker, at right back, made their debuts for Heart in the Sydney game and could retain their places on Saturday if coach John Aloisi elects to put his faith in their youthful exuberance. ROFL at the fact he wrote Mitchinson made his debut last week. I reckon we'll drop Gray and Mebrathu, the weakest two players in the squad IMO
  22. Had $10 at 2.01 on Valencia Draw No Bet, looking pretty good so far
  23. Beyond a joke, if I ever see Archie Thompson play again for the Socceroos I will spew
  24. Why are we even competing in this tournament? Players would be better off at their clubs IMO
