  1. Ps well done to the pies for holding our ground on the trade - whilst it hurts to lose our second best player we got an alright deal back and he has good reason for wanting to leave.
  2. Brisbane has arguably the best midfield unit in the AFL now..

    Shit post Shit banter
  4. In the short run yes but from what I've seen of Aish and this yrs strong draft pool means we can grab another two young guns - as Collingwood is obviously rebuilding and there's not much we can do about a player wanting to be with his sick dad.. And on that note: it's obviously not true in the case of beams but does anyone think players who say they want a trade back to their home state use it as an excuse to just get more money/success
  5. you'll lose approx. pick 20 for those players as well. Greenwood will be a separate deal. Marty - Beams could be a champion barring injury I really can't see Greenwood reaching such heights. he already is an all Australian, flag winner and Copland winner. So I would say he already is a champion at age 24 Brisbane thinking pick 5 for him is ridiculous. None of their gun young midfielders would even be enough in a straight swap (zorko, Hanley, rockliff are still quite behind him IMO). If anyone knows how much Beams is worth it's the collingwood recruitment team so he won't be going anywhere unless the price is right.
  6. Hard to say that losing Beams for Greenwood, Aish and pick 5 makes us weaker..
  7. But have Kurds given Turkish actual reasons for hating them like gypsies have given in Europe? Or it just a modern day extension of the Ottoman trend of committing genocide for no real reason at all?
  8. Or the US now training and offering small arms PKK - which is still recognised largely as a terrorist group. I've been following the Kurd involvement in the conflict a bit and I agree with what Tesla has said in the fact that ISIS has been somewhat beneficial to a Kurdistan nation state being formed. They have had to retake resource rich areas of Iraq that were taken over by ISIS, and by doing so gaining more economic asset that'll support their claims for down the track. If Kurdistan is to exist, chummying up to the US and doing the hard yards on the ground against ISIS seems to be their best bet considering their UN clout and the power they hold over Turkey through NATO. They have a track record of being well organised and reliable when workig with the West beginning in 2003. PS I remember reading some shit about if an IS fighter is killed by a woman they can't enter the Islamic equivalent to Christian heaven. If so, should make for lots of even madder terrorists considering how many women fight in the PKK/Peshmerga. One such example was a recent female suicide bomber killing 27 ISIS fighters. Fuck they'd be mad. Also take a moment of thought for the plight of the moderate Syrian rebel who are now fighting not only Assad (who is absolutely dominating them), but former friendly forces in the Al Nusra Front and ISIS..
  9. He was definitely a shocking pick. Even fucking Richmond managed to discover Brad Ottens at number 2 in the same draft. And to just to put it into perspective even further: 31. Simon Black 43. Adam Goodes 45. Matthew Scarlett It's amazing how many elite players sneak through to the later picks whilst so many first round picks end up being duds. I think it says a lot about how important good player development systems at clubs are and how little a discrepancy there is in talent between the first and last round picks in the draft. D Swan: pick 58
  10. say I was fired for not turning up to a shift (sat night), is it legal for the manager to not pay me for the shift before the one I didn't rock up to (fri night)? If not, how can I go about getting paiiiid?
  11. young hardly counts as a loss mate.
  12. Fuck I wish port beat you smug cunts
  13. Anyone who starts uni from next year onwards (any degree) will be subject to the increased fees. In regards to transferring you could only expect to pay the lower fees as you're just continuing your just continuing your degree at another institution.
  14. it's a testament to the all the bandwagoning c*nts in this country
