    Come On You Hearts

it's simple which is a big plus when trying to get the whole yarraside end involved. sometimes people struggle to get involved with some of our chants simply because they dont know the words. not a problem in this case.
  2. "come on you hearts" will get the crowd going.
  3. The team almost fit around him back in the school days. Can't really see him fitting into our system, unless we signed him purely as an impact sub to run at tired defenders late in the game. I'm guessing that's when he would be most effective. As i said though, I'm not entirely sure how he is being used at the knights.
  4. Went to school with the kid. Was the star player in our first XI. Very good with the ball at his feet and can draw a penalty due to his propensity to run at defenders. Can be selfish at times though for a CAM type player. Decent shot on him. Have only seen glimpses of him at the knights though.
  5. kappa logos on shoulders should be black on the away kit imo

I think this guy's name has come up before, but could mikael forssell be a realistic target? Free agent and could be an adequate replacement for babalj. Could have some crowd-pulling power and young enough to play at least a couple of seasons for us. Vaguely remember sydney fc showing interest in him last season if i'm not mistaken....
  7. Sponsor logo will sit high on the shirt if other kappa kits are anything to go by ie; as roma, fulham, borussia dortmund.
  8. If Newcastle utd offered Good a contract the club would have let him go. Why is this any different?

he has stated that if he is to continue playing it would only be in the top flight. if he isnt willing to play championship football there is no chance of him coming to Australia. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/9272587/Michael-Owen-Manchester-United-have-let-me-go-but-I-will-continue-playing...-just-not-in-the-Championship.html
  10. Could we get a poll going on this forum or something? Just to get an indication of how the majority of fans feel about the name and logo more than anything else...
  11. Yeah i say risk it. Why not go to another vote where only members can participate. Then if there is a name favoured by the VAST majority, pick it and never look back. Current name just pisses me off...
  12. Yeah I did play under Ivan. Would have liked to this year but can't unfortunately due to other commitments.
  13. Just to clarify, I am a student at Latrobe and drive in 3 days a week. must admit i haven't seen the taseski billboards.. will look abit harder. Maybe the route i take doesn't go past them. I was part of a southern uni games team and we did play a pre season game against the heart which was fantastic and was a major contributing factor to getting me on board. Yes the club does do a 3 game membership for La Trobe students, but the only way to be notified about this offer is if you're already on Heart's mailing list. why not get La Trobe to notify all students, even those who aren't aware of Heart's existence, of the offer via Email? Also, the clubrooms are far removed from the Agora where most students hang out. my mate had an awesome idea the other day. why not have a small merchandise store in the agora, or even just make a deal with the La Trobe uni store that sells the hoodies and stuff so Heart can sell jerseys and other stuff from there? I was abit harsh. Yes Heart are making an effort to engage the students. But surely more can, and should be done if we are serious about reaching our membership targets.
  14. There's anywhere between 10,000 and 20,000 students at La Trobe. This is an ideal source of new fans and potential members, but I can garuntee you at least 80% of students either do not know that Heart exist, or if they do, they don't even know that Heart's headquarters are at the university. That is an absolute joke. The exposure at the university has been minimal at best and in my opinion the opportunity to engage those that go to La Trobe has been wasted thus far. Get some signage up around the uni and actually make students aware of membership deals available. Do this throughout theyear and maybe then we'll have an extra couple of thousand members next season.
