  1. I haven't given up on Williams. Given his form for the Fury we were all expecting more, granted, but he's obviously found the move difficult. With strong competition for places in the forwards he has to work hard from here on in to get a run, which is a good thing. (Still suspect cutting his hair was the main problem though, ala Samson).
  2. He's not ready for a call up yet- needs to be more consistent. The potential is there though, may be in a season or 2 I'd say.
  3. The young fella is a good player right now and has plenty of potential to improve if he keeps his feet on the ground- on his current trajectory he is a future socceroo for sure. He does have a major weakness though in his inability to use his left foot. Hopefully he is working on this on the training ground. I reckon its cost at least 2 goals so far (in excellent positions on his left, but cut back into traffic to get on his right) and once defenders wake up to this he'll be easier to shut down.
  4. Too old basically! Coach my youngest's U7s last year though. Might play some kick around this year if i can fit it in with family stuff.

    Paul Reid

Good signing I reckon- as i recall Reid was the star in the pissants run to the Asian Champions League final. My only problem is that run was a few years ago and if he's as good as I thought he was, how come he's available mid season? He is 32 apparently BTW. All in all given our midfield injuries definitely worth a punt (if he plays to his best form we'll be unstoppable) and a shrewd signing by our club.
  6. Boys just look flat for mine. Took for ever to get going and then couldn't even sustain it when we did. Bolton had kept us in the game until his stuff up, so i wouldn't be too hard on him. We reverted to 3 at the back again after the (near) disaster against Gold Cost but a back 3 of Hammill, Good & Behich doesn't exactly stike fear into opponents attack. For mine Mate isn't shining because he isn't getting decent service- as simple as that. I will also have to disagree with those who proclaim Behich's form, I reckon he's been below his once high standards for a number of weeks now- pretty much ever since i proclaimed him a future socceroo on the red & white site. I think Sarkies adds something but he needs to lift his work rate. We need to show some urgency when we have the ball- fair dinkum it looked like the boys were having a kick around in the park at times. I do think though we can turn it around pretty quickly. Colosimo and Germano/Shroj back in the side would make a big difference too. Haven't abandoned hope for Wednesday.
  7. Well its been an Ok season so far, but its fair to say a bit disappointing - our new signings have taken a while to gel and I would have preferred that we held on to Aquilani. Looks to me that the title is there to be won if a club can string together a run of wins- but we are probably a bit too far off the pace, anyway I guess we'll see. Am hoping that this suspension to Suarez becomes a really good opportunity for Carroll to get some first team time and build up his confidence with a few goals- I am certainly not writing him off yet that's for sure.
