Well we copped three bad penalty decisions in lead up games. Got 2 back in this one. Interestingly no one is talking about the 13 minutes of extra time. I mean there was a delay at 96:30 and it took 5 minutes of football to make up for that 30 seconds? Seriously weird.

A good win. Newcastle are a step down from us basically. These are the games we should win comfortably and we did. First half wasn’t great, but great strikers goal to Jamie. Second half was the Tilio show, who almost single handedly put the Jets to the sword.

Well in my view you’re not a master and you’re not an apprentice. So you’ve been in the business quite a while but never made (and now will never make) mastery. Has nothing to do with how far you’ve travelled or how many clubs you’ve played for. At 250 games Hoffman certainly isn’t an apprentice and football wise he’s never hit mastery.

It was a good win. The non-pen made the match look closer than it was.

This is a good move for Nat. It’s to a higher standard but one he’ll surely start in. If he continues to improve (like we all expect) he’ll move to a bigger league again. It sits us on our arse though. To be honest when he didn’t leave in the off season I thought we’d have him for another year. Anyway enjoy @Scotsman in peace you have a gun on the rise here. At what point should we start to be concerned?

Ok. Did 2 minutes of research. They haven’t defaulted, which is why the news hasn’t gone ballistic about it. They keep paying their debts very close to the deadline though. Reporters are speculating that the money is coming from the government. Perhaps just as well, collapse could lead to civil unrest which could (in the party’s view) require a major foreign distraction to quell.

Best bet (to understand implications) is to read what the astute financial commentators are saying.

I agree with the problem. Frankly we lack quality. No one in particular’s fault. Certainly not the players or the coach. Whether those two are good enough to be a solution or not I don’t know. Arnold is clearly aware he needs a fit and firing Arzani, it’s why he keeps picking him regardless of form. Id like to see (and expect to) opportunities for Atkinson and Metcalfe, a couple of young blokes who might have decent careers.
