  1. Why would Goodwin come back to us? And no ex-Scum players ever pls.
  2. Let's not play this game. We know he's coming to us.
  3. I understand that, but it's all speculative isn't it. I'm sure to some people the music is important. I know that it annoys me. The things that you listed as being important to you I believe are more important as well, however I don't believe that the department responsible for the music are the same one responsible for your issues. Also, I believe they would've been addressed internally, and the best outcome sought. What I'm saying is that I believe that the club does 'have the fan's back'. I believe they do actively try and provide a better experience for the fans. If they are asking about music, that's because it's something they can change and I don't believe they are stupid enough to focus on things that are irrelevant.
  4. No offence, but I don't think you know what you are talking about. Is your issue man-hours spent on this? Because it's outsourced to Manchester. Will the club 'get more arse on a seat' because fans enjoy the atmosphere? Obviously, yes. I feel like they can't win really. The football hasn't been great since CFG took over, but the match-day experience and genuine fan consultation has been second to none. Now people are whinging because THEY ARE ASKING WHAT FANS WOULD LIKE for music to be played at the stadium? Absolutely ridiculous to criticise that. Cannot be described as anything other than whinging for the sake of whinging.
  5. I actually don't quite understand what you're trying to say? Are you genuinely saying that the media/marketing department should, instead of focusing on engaging with the fans and trying to give them what they want, that instead they should be focusing on football related matters?
  6. Lol do you think that the media/marketing staff should be focusing on the football? Please, turn it up.
  7. Let's get Micah Richards. Would absolutely tear this league apart.
  8. I can assure you the direct word from the club is the opposite of your assumption. The club implores supporters to follow whichever EPL club they want to.
  9. Guess it's offset by free shipping. Doubt it's made here? Meh. I reckon they're awesome haha!
  10. Just bought one of THESE, thought it was awesome, thought I should share. Reckon I might grab a couple for xmas actually. Free shipping too which was a plus!
  11. I'm not too sure that Kaka fits the bill, but Ronaldinho certainly does.
  12. Maybe. But their options to request change are so limited this is really the only course of action. So while what you're saying may be true, it isn't the crux of the situation, nor should it be a concern of active. Its a bi-product of the situation - ultimately created and fueled by the FFA.
  13. This is brilliant: http://titusoreily.com/a-league-fans-to-destroy-us-all/
  14. Sorry. I didn't realize they were talking specifically about Brattan.
  15. Extremely slim. That will not ever happen. We are separate clubs. Also, we (as a collective, not you in particular) can't have it both ways. We are a separate club, not a mini Man City.
  16. Not really meaning to quote you, but on this issue - it's exactly what a Cat C membership is designed for. If already exists.
  17. Agree with your point (I think), but all of your stats are invalid. This year will probably be the highest for average attendance ever - after the home derbies are factored in, as with all of the other year-on-year figures you listed.
  18. Listening to Rebecca Wilson speak, it's clear she has no idea. BUT the failings of RBB and NT have created this, and sadly Melburnians have bought in. When this list was published, it should've been seen as an opportunity for Active to distance themselves from violence. Rightly or wrongly, Wilson is right in saying that the reason people don't go to the soccer is because they don't feel safe. No matter how you feel about that (everyone that goes already, including me, have never felt anything other than comfortable) it's the truth. That's the perception to the uninitiated and perception is reality. All of these unambiguous protests, or protesting to find who the leak was, or sending death threats or other stupid shit, just all of this carry on is completely playing up to the characterization, as others have said. It should have been a chance to take the higher road and acted responsibly, distancing ourselves from criminality. Again, rightly or wrongly, a protest now will only cause more damage to the perception. What is potentially the saddest part is that I feel decision makers within Melburnians won't be brave enough to take the right action, as they'd rather not tarnish their 'cred' with other Active groups and within the 'Ultras' scene.
  19. Congratulations guys, you did it! First article written up about you - on the A-League Banter Facebook page! A proud moment I'm sure
  20. I don't think success on field is really tangible though is it. I mean, if we're not happy with the coach, that's one thing. Injuries is another. But it's not like we are trying to lose games, if you know what I mean. Can't just say 'bring sustained, consistent success please'. Needs to be tangible.
  21. You know a protest is the right thing to do when the vast majority support it e.g. Aloisi out, color change, JVS out. You know it's not the right thing to do when basically everyone thinks it's nonsense.
