  1. Defence, defence, defence. Wozzle watches too much NFL.
  2. Brilliant from Macca, he made something out of nothing at every moment.
  3. Bozza saying we need to go forward with speed, the players on the field aren't capable of it, or under the directive to pass safe. I hope this is the last season under Wozzle.
  4. Great weather for football, hopefully it will be a good game.
  5. out of our youngsters, Najjar has shown more than anyone besides Azani (totally different) in the forward positions, Pierias in the defensive. Metcalf deserves a mention.
  6. Metcalf to me looks like he has a bright future, maybe it's because of late he has been getting forward to much, not to Wazza's liking? Maybe he takes it easy in training, but comes big in games?
  7. The French have invested in Vietnam huge, setting up a Clairefontaine like set up there, about ten or so years ago, maybe a couple of years after we went through our coaching and development overhual, that's why they have given us massive problems internationally recently. The dutch similar in Indonesia, though nothing as extensive as the French in Vietnam. Thailand has beaten our national team and football is second to Mua Thai, always has been, it's only been the war and financial instability that has held them back, there is some big mony and support for Thai football, a lot more than here. Please no,
  8. Hahaha, delusion I think we call it, it's the least I expect from this dimwit, I would like to call myself a realist and not expect any of it to happen. IMHO.
  9. What? I have said if we are not playing our talented youth we should loan them out to Indonesian clubs, Vietnam or Thailand, if you watch Asian football they aren't to bad. It's similar to Genreau, not good enough for A league, but good enough for the Eredivise. If we have these players but there is no spot for them or not seen as up to standard for the HAL, loan them out ffs, going abroad itself will teach a lot of lessons, but the game time will be the best teacher and the top clubs in these nations are worth more than A league clubs, the Thai Messi has a contract more than any HAL player.
  10. Agree, his pace is his weakness, an English coach won't like that at all.
  11. 4411, Adelaide like to play down the wings. Jamieson hasn't been his best and Pierias looked as good there last time as on the right. Frenchy and Wales to cut inside, or to play narrow with the FB's the main outlet for crosses (though obviously if the opportunity or space is there, ping one in for Maccas to run onto), otherwise their job is to press their FB's. Press from the front and let the CB have the ball, non of their backline are good passers and might end up lumping it, but put pressure on everyone else (especially Isais), compress the space, no one on their team is blindingly fast, maybe only Millineusnic (whatever his name is) and we should be able to keep up with long balls over the top, Bart and De Leat are no slouchers. Eugene De Leat Delbo Bart Pierias Frenchy Griffiths Brattan Wales McGree Maclaren Subs: Birrighitti, Good, Baccus, Vidosic, Harrison.
  12. Totally separate, but getting players essentially for free and on selling them will benefit their FFP limit certainly, also the Mooy fee alone has paid overs in everything they have invested so far and they will probably get a future fee as well. I think their 'mindshare' has a fee attached and could be an offset as well
  13. Well that was rather disappointing, Grant was very good for them and they compressed the right side deep forcing our play down his side. Every sub was a defensive player WTF? Although Pierias again impressed. Surely Wazza won't get an extension to his contract, we are terrible under his leadership. I don't mind Wales, a better manager could help him, I mean even McGree is a different player from last year.
  14. Najjar played 2 days ago, not much recovery time. https://www.melbournecityfc.com.au/news/y-league-report-city-3-3-perth-glory
  15. Bloody hell, I thought he was 22 or something. Still he would hardly get that far up the pitch and being 27 would not be comfortable with it at all.
  16. Pheonix leading the tards 3-1, means we drop down to 5th.
  17. Baccus is fine, he's a young defensive midfielder still learning his trade and doing pretty well overall, it's probably the first time he has been that high up the pitch, no wonder he didn't know what to do or lacked confidence having a shot.
  18. The biggest problem is when we start to go forward, most of the players are defensive players and don't know what to do, passing wise and movement wise, they are not used to it.
