Baseball and ice hockey are meh though, if there on i'll watch it but to me anyway baseball is a shitter version of cricket and ice hockey you can't even see the puck half the time, what type of sport doesn't allow you to see the object you play with?

You aren't playing it though. From personal experience of playing one and having a crack at the other, its not hard at all.

True, was more talking about my shit eye sight and watching it on T.V, it's very hard to see the puck most of the time for me anyway.

I played a bit of ice hockey at school, on the school basketball courts with a puck if that counts! and tbh, it wasn't too bad. Wouldn't be goalie again though,

Ice Hockey on your School Basketball Court?

Roller, with a puck that has ball bearings builtin, or maybe running around with plastic sticks and a ball.

Roller Hockey is the not same at Ice Hockey - I am sure u know that more than anyone else here.

Its pretty much the same sport. Its not like comparing tennis and table tennis, its more like comparing Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.

Diamanti is the sort of player we will get next season I think.

Fucking hope so! Quality goal just now.

He is just above a jouney man Serie A player, but one who was always the key creative player in the team he is playing for. I remember him destroying Roma a few years ago. For the right money there would be several players of his ilk around.

Bit harsh dont you think? imo that left foot of his will see him get a spot on the plane to brazil - regardless of where he is playing.

hes a good player - but he can go missing on occasion.

I highly rate Redders, he bas a lot of potential. I admit though he has had some horrible games under JA this season. He also seems to be the slowest of all the players to reverse the damage that JA did to each of them.

agreed, but he just needs to be given a little patience, as confidence is a big thing with players - and especially GK's.

if we can prove to him that we trust, believe in him etc, he should be fine.

I also reckon he suffers from a little bit of complacency. When tandos your back up, redders realises that he has to have a major fuck-up before he gets dragged. redders realises that he only has to perform servicebly to keep his starting spot. Lets be honest, we'll never see tando in a heart game unless redders gets a red.

i would have to agree - but do you really expect a better reserve keeper than Tando in the A-League?

my point is that unless we had someone really pushing for Redders' place, there is every chance he could become complacent.

  5. I feel sorry for him- under a decent manager I have no doubt that a better team structure would have benefited him and resulted in more goals. Yes he played poorly but JA had a fantastic ability to get the worst out of players. I also see no benefit in continually insulting him or making fun of his height.

    err...

so it was down to JA's tactics that made him miss all those open goals?

under JA he did have many opportunities, but he did not convert.

  6. Anyone here attended a Champions League game?

was there at the San Siro for Milan vs Celtic during the group stages

Only English club who can go far in this tournament is Chelsea, no bias either. Arsenal maybe, but Bayern will be a tough ask.

Agreed - i dont see Arsenal getting past Bayern, especially over 2 legs.

not sure about Chelsea - They rely too much on Hazard for me, and are lacking a proper striker who would take their game to another level.

    where is Mifsud?

Demoted to janitor, where he deserves to be.

last time I heard about him he was trying to get a gig on Thursday fc. He said he wanted to work with all the other 'talented' people on there. He should fit in just fine

Yep heard the same thing, apparently he got to the final interview but just couldn't quite deliver the results in the end. Not only that but he mistimed his drive in and was late for it.

    Oh really?

I wouldve thought he mistimed his drive and arrived too early - ridiculously early.

I'm trying to remember if he was on the website in the first place. If he was and he has been taken off, that is pretty telling. I also think people are a little too harsh. When he played I could easily see why JA brought him out but I'd say he is another player JA has destroyed. The offsides though.. That's pretty indefensible

I have agree that if JA had changed his formation to 4-4-2 with a diamond then Misfud would have had been a better Heart player.

While I would say that it wouldve suited him more, all the simple tap-ins he missed and offsides were just inexcusable.

Would much prefer Scott McDonald to Mifsud actually!

They are complete opposites, one can't score for his country, but smashes it for his club and the other one is the opposite! Unfortunately, Heart got the opposite  <_<

Have Bresciano as Aussie Marquee and Macca as International Marquee (I'm sure an Australian can be an INTL marquee).

Enjoyed watching McDonald in his time at Celtic but I would prefer we chased a tradtional tall Centre Foward who can hold the ball up as well score goals.

D'Ambrosio is a good signing, and Hernanes should do well for you guys - if you end up signing him.

Nani will be a massive lol, never rated him.

Not sure on Vucinic either, might be a bit too old for what you're looking for.

    2/4 not bad.

Nani is a quality player, would have loved to have him, would have been our best outfield player, better than Guarin, Hernanes, Palacio. Apparently only reason we didn't is his injury.

I'm just happy with the ambition shown and some signings finally being made.

Hernanes such a good signing. Hopefully the Guarin situation is settled now.

    i guess so.

I would say that Handanovic is better than Nani though.

better than Milan ffs, rumours we were signing Cerci - end up getting Taarabt on loan  :droy:

Redders was stuck on his line, this tends to happen a lot.

Redders was at fault for the goal in Adelaide.

This games blunder was unforgivable. The win will hide this. He's a golden child amongst some of our rainbow crew fans and it's like he gets a free pass.

He has been shocking for a little while now. No command in his area whatsoever. I have no confidence when the ball is around. No presence at all for a keeper either.

Just remember that keppers can go out of form too, just like any player.

I think a couple weeks on the sidelines would do him the world of good.

Very disappointing for the last month or so though.
