Our front third is just going to be this mind fuck swarm of players moving all over the place
Not sure if this is meant as a positive or negative statement

No offence taken. You a correct on all accounts. But my point was is he what the squad needs when there are so many others in that position.
Sorry not going to bite
With the A-League it is very important to get the best Australian talent possible due to the 5 visa’s rule.
But it is also interesting that frenchy is a Left winger/AM and Ikonomidis is a similar position!

Out of this squad
i would only think Jakobson & Brandan would be walk up starts in our current squad (of the players who have left)
Colazo dead ball ability was underrated imo

What's your basis for that? Breda obviously don't think much of him if they demoted him to fourth choice. There's barely any difference between him and Bouzanis physically or in age, so it looks like a Peter-Paul situation to me. IMO Bouzanis had improved over the past two seasons, so I'm afraid I don't see much point in the whole exercise.
Maybe dean was keen to play in Europe ?

Bingo! So how has that been working for us then?
Yep, and to suggest they are crap signings is ridiculous
I don't bet, sorry.
TBH, unless Berenguer and a further signing transforms our front third dynamics, I think we will be outclassed by at least 4 other clubs.
Which 4?

We just need to sign a marquee not a big name just a marquee that plays 90’ every week and is a top 10 player in the league!

Would we be opposed to Eugene being our No 1 keeper if it meant we could sign another Aussie (Ikonomidis) and a VISA CentreBack?

Please not Mark Birighitti

IMO only an absolute 24/7 football fanatic could truthfully say that they have "heard of" the players that get mentioned on here or elsewhere. Most people could not name all the clubs in any "second division" around the world, let alone the players therefrom.
Like you, looking forward to seeing him play.
We didn't score enough goals against Newcastle, but we played some really nice football nevertheless. I can watch the lead-up to Bruno's goal over and over again - that's some slick passing movement. If we can get our heads in the right place we can have a good season.
What about the slick 1-2 goal between Bruno and Dario that was called offside that was class and I wasn't 100% convinced it was offside! More like 97% sure it was

@Missing_Moy I see you have a change to you team selection. What makes you think Berenguer is better than MOH. Have you seen him play or do you believe the standard of player in the 2 division French league better than the SPFL. Bearing in mind a number of Australian internationalists now and in the recent past are playing or have played in the SPFL.
I just think that with how fast MOH is he will be well suited to winning us games at the 60” mark running at tired defenders! But it is very hard to fit Vidosic MOH Mcgree and berenguer into the 3 starting positions

Exactly.... But hey, why let logic interfere with an opportunity to have a dig at the club...
In a business sense also the return on investment would've been pretty good if Daniel had of stayed in my opinion.
Pay him $100,000 a season compared to whatever Manchester are now paying him. would get no one of any comparable quality for $100,000 and would have been our poster boy for the season!

It's funny but true.
Interestingly Marwood said in April that Arzani was staying another season for his own good. Oh how that changed when $$$$$ could be made after the world cup.
'Marwood has also committed Australian wonderkind Daniel Arzani to staying in the A-League for another season, declaring it the best place for his development.'

nothing to see here, move along.
I think Daniels ambitions have a lot to do with why he isn’t in Melbourne anymore!
imagine the price they would’ve got for him if he dominated a full season

Here is what I think it may be
Galeck
Atkinson Shenk Grif Jame
Mal Brats
Ohal Vido MCGree
Tuna
Only swap I see in there is Mal for Grif
This side wins 3-1 brace to El Tuna and header to Dario
think the gaffer rates Wales so wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the starting line up!
Need some goal scoring threat to come off the bench Najjar and Najjarine

Michael O'Halloran
