Unfortunately I am on my phone, so I don't have the patience to write a comprehensive response.
I love red ball cricket as much as anyone, I have never watched a ball of the BBL and haven't watched ODI's since I was a teen. I feel the lack of coverage is the nature of the beast with regard to first class cricket. I can't imagine the reception to County Cricket would be much different in the UK (correct me if I'm wrong), nobody has the time in this day and age to watch four full days of cricket. Test matches work as they are somewhat of an event, only occurring once per year in any given city.
A better comparison would probably be the flailing second tier Aussie rules leagues. But when the top flight is not even a dream for these clubs, why would kids grow up wanting to support Port Melbourne over *spits* Collingwood? I believe I read on Wikipedia (the bastion of informed debate) that one of the reasons the original VFL broke away from the then VFA was to create a league without relegation.
That last point is fantastic, because in comparison to England, there are so many fans for unambitious clubs in 3rd/4th tiers due to their history. These clubs have been good in the past, and generations have gone on following the club even through their unambitious years. The issue for Australian football is since these 2nd tier clubs would be new, with seemingly bugger all history, who would want to follow the unambitious ones?

please do not play cola in the back line... he is hands down the most creative player we have
Yes, but he is also a talented defender. If Brandan plays as an inside forward, Colazo can run on the overlap. For the above formation of Kilkenny dropping back, this still gives opposition a chance to launch a quick counter.
This formation seems the best at the moment in my eyes, as given by mus-28.
Sorensen
Muscat - Jakobsen - Chapman - Colazo
Kilkenny - Brattan
Kamau - Cahill - Brandan

I would like to see Colazo playing as the #10 with Caceras on the bench. You can tell Colazo is levels above, he has 2, maybe 3 touches max on the ball before he gets rid of it, Caceras on the other-hand spends way to long on the ball. We were just 'unlucky ' that Colazo was injured.
Absolutely agree, Colazo has class, his decision making has proved ideal for #10 spot. As much as I like Caceres, he hasn't really seemed comfortable as a 90 minute player.

I'm a new member but have been following the club since the 13/14 season, since I couldn't stand Victory (seemed to me like scum and still do) and had began to get into football. I couldn't make the game last night due to the shit weather, causing accidents, increasing the time to get into the city from 40 minutes to an hour and a half. Absolutely cut I couldn't make it, even though we performed terribly.
Notable mistakes I noticed was the lack of hold we had on the game, despite all of the possession. JVS has to learn one of these days that 3 at the back simply isn't working anymore, especially on slippery nights that make our quick game plan impossible to adhere to. Perth were always going to be on the counter from start to finish, and they utilised their space and speed, which killed our slow back 3. Ball watching was also an issue, as shown by their first goal, and their other two were just bad mistakes by Dean and terrible communication from defence to goalkeeper.Anyway, bring on Tuesday.

I feel a 60,000 seater would be more suitable for Victory, but it's a bit too much considering the point above of not even being able to fill Etihad in the derby, and I doubt they'll be willing to spend the money as long as they can still play at Etihad. A secondary stadium is a good idea, but I think City are a few years off building a new stadium due to the lack of people we get to home games. Last nights dire numbers is an exception due to the rain and traffic, I couldn't go because of that, really a shame

I'll be expecting 13k, due to it being the first game of our home season and the Tim Cahill hype is at large at the moment.

Jovanovic sounds alright, Australian and a defender, let's just hope we don't sign him up to play him as an attacking mid
