If the coaching staff or players think that Jamie has a chance to header a high cross then I think we have problems. It is like the players are drones that just play to a system with no common sense. It is painful to watch at times.

My summary is that we got beaten by good tactics. They nullified everything and they just stopped us getting out of the blocks. WSW tacticians had the perfect plan and it was executed well.

I think the issue is the quality of the wingers. With Leckie, Tulio, and Nabbout he seemed to have more space and thrive.

Good result given the circumstances. Vidmar changed it up which is refreshing and good to see the mids cutting off the passing lanes which was something lacking prior to this game. It was the best defensive structure all season. We are still playing too wide and we struggle to put the ball at Jamie's feet. With a squad that is obviously lacking in key areas, we did enough to negate their counters, smother the game and provide some real opportunities to score. Good game.

Everyone has an opinion which is good and great and all that, but the truth is in the results and based on the results, Kisnorbo is by far the best manager we have ever had. I agree with everything you are saying, and here is the question I pose. How could the coaching staff not be alarmed in the pre-season when comparing our current squad's performance with the squad of the last 2 seasons? Surely alarm bell should have been going off. Surely the type of players to execute this game plan should have been identified and recruited. A 6-0 thrashing in the 2nd game of the season is a reflection of many problems that should have been addressed already. Is it Rado's fault? I don't know, however I can suggest that our current list can not play this current system. In the short term we need an immediate response to develop a defensive mindset and tweak the system accordingly, and then build from there even at the cost of 1-0 losses as thrashings destroy team morale.

We will see what happens going forward. With the players we have it will be ineffective to continue with the game plan of the last 3 years. I would hope Rado realises this and creates a solution to the problem that you and many others have identified. If he doesn't then I suspect there is a directive to play the CFG style with a midfield that isnt capable of doing so. There is a way out of this and it requires a re-think of the style of play which will result in weeks of defensive, highly organised, lower possession, and counter-attacking football which I believe the squad is capable of executing successfully and this will also stop the score blow outs and keep them in the game.
