  1. I love Sash! Surely it can't end like this for him.
  2. I don't care about history, we are winning this game and there is no doubt about it. I hope we play Koren for the whole second half and start Duff for this game. There is another obvious change that should happen and that is Hoffman to replace Wielart. Melbourne City 2-0.

Not a massive fan of Rogers but he will make a ton here. He loves the MCG and it is his home ground so I am backing him in to make up for that early wicket we lost. Watson and Haddin are playing for their careers.
  4. Last game I can attend this season so I am super pumped about this game. Plus my brother is a Glory man so it would be good to knock them off just for the bragging rights. We win this game and we have two very winnable games next. We could be top 4 before the Asian Cup break with Kennedy still to play so the next three games are huge for us. This is a typical game that we would lose 2-1 but I am predicting a 1-1 game.
  5. Sinking piss at home watching the Lakers v Bulls at the same time as the cricket and then heading to the impy at 3 for more piss followed by ending the night with a huge City win against Perth. Looking forward to it!
  6. I wouldn't start Koren in his second game. I would put him on at half time, slowly increase his game time and start him against Newcastle. As for Duff, we don't have a clue of how serious the injury is, we are all basically guessing so I guess we just have to back the club to get this right. If he is fit and ready then we need him to play against Perth. Perth are the best team in the league and I can't wait to see how we play against them. Hopefully Velaphi continues to keep a clean sheet and we can come away with a point at least. 2 clean sheets and 2 wins in a row! This can't be real, can it!?
  7. Can't see us getting close in this game. If we lost to Wellington 5-1 then we should lose this at least 4-0 and that is my tip unfortunately. Hopefully I am wrong and we get a result. I don't know what I will do if we beat them.
  8. With so many changes to the line up, I am happy to give them another chance. We were very inexperienced today and these guys havn't really played a lot together. Let's give the younger guys a chance because we know they have room for improvement. Add Koren and Kennedy next year and we got ourselves a nice looking team. We finally have a genuine striker and Williams will be a better player as a result of it. The aim is to be in the top 6 before the Asian Cup break but having said that we have two certain losses coming up.
  9. A loss on Sunday would just about do it for a lot of the fans. So much hype and promise in the off season with very little being delivered. We have the squad to beat a very weak Brisbane squad on Sunday. If we lose to Brisbane, you would have to think this team will be bottom three this season and JVS could be sacked before the derby. I am expecting about 8000 to turn up but if we lose it will be back to the Heart day where we will see 5000-6000 at games, especially after the derby against Victory. We are on track to have the same record mid season to what we had last season and that's just unacceptable, I don't know what this club has to and can do to fix this mess. It's time to put in a different board in place with a new coaching panel because the culture we have now is like a cancer and we have to get rid of it or it will be the same story every year with Melbourne City being in the bottom 3.
  10. He is a dog player. That tackle he made on a Serbian player last year was just retarded and the three yellow cards against Australia back 2006 are just two incidents that sum him up as a person. Having Kisnorbo, Wielart and Simunic in deffence would be one of the saddest things that would have happened to this club. We would give away 15 penalties a season and strikers will run rings around them. He is not old enough yet though, we will wait two years until he meets the age minimum and then we will sign him.
  11. Don't know why I booked my flights for this game! Pretty pissed off!
  12. How did we only lose 2-1?? They killed us and we were pathetic!!!
  13. Still think we will lose 3-1 or 3-0 but if we do get in a winning position like last week we better not stuff it up. I don't think I can handle another choke especially not against these guys. Cmon City!
  14. Although having wog parents and being taught to like soccer growing up, AFL was always my number one game. Loved it and still do to this day but the AFL has changed dramatically for the worse. Bringing in 2 new clubs when they have teams broke and needing financial help was stupid. Furthermore, the AFL has become so obsessed with Sydney and the NRL, they want to defeat the NRL and overtake them which is what caused COLA being introduced. They have not stopped talking about equality in the competition but they go on to give a team who had just won the premiership in 2012 and extra 10% room in their cap. They know soccer is growing and it's growing very quickly in Australia and there is no doubt they are scared. Soccer has the potential to overtake the AFL as the number on sport in 15 years time. There is no room for the AFL to grow anymore while the A league has an unlimited amount of room to grow as a league due to the game being played around the world.
  15. Nah no chance of a win this game. I wish we had Sasha Ognenovski in our deffence, I love the man and have since his days in the VPL. I don't know why we let him go to Sydney after he spent some time training for us during an off season while he was still playing in Asia. We will probably score the first goal and do the standard by trying to keep the lead only to cop some goals in the last 30 minutes and lose the game. I am sick of losses like that. Enough is enough and things need to change. This has been going on for two years and now a third, these players need a psychologist to come down and help them seriously. You could feel it against CCM, once they scored a goal that it would be very tough to hang on to that lead and although it took them to the last second they still scored and it was a typical Heart **** up!
