  1. https://melbournecityfc.com.au/news/natel-joins-city Natel joins the Club on a one-year loan from Corinthians in Brazil’s Serie A, following a long-term injury to City forward, Andrew Nabbout Melbourne City FC Director of Football, Michael Petrillo, said: “Leo will provide us with an ideal replacement for Andy. He brings direct pace, strength, has the technical qualities to go 1v1 and can press very well.
  2. what I am trying to say is Natel is never brought in if Nabbout wasn't injured
  3. yes, but what I am saying is Natel was only brought in because of Nabbout's injury so he is an injury replacement in the literal term but doesn't take up a 'injury replacement slot'.
  4. Natel was brought in as an injury replacement for Nabbout but I don't believe he takes up an injury replacement slot if that makes sense
  5. Sakhi was an option to buy so potential for him to stay longer if club want to pay a fee
  6. Would love to be surprised and we beat Ventforet but in a realistic world we should go there get at least a point and hopefully win the final game against Zhejiang
  7. Awful performance, 1st half was ok but 2nd half was dreadful, one of the worse performances I have seen. Not blaming Vidmar but don't know why we didn't go for instant stability and try and bring someone in permanently Don't think with the clubs situation having just an interim is smart.
  8. that wasn't the reason, this has always been a rule since they made the competition 40 teams. Last year points against the 4th placed team in the group didn't count cause a Chinese team dropped out so there was a group with 3 teams
  9. Hard to judge Adelaide as that is over a decade a go but has a decent record in SE Asia, was probably going to win the Thai League with Bangkok United but left because of "Personal Reasons"
  10. With a good manager this team walks the league
  11. Rado has got to go at this point, 2/3 last league games we have conceded 6 goals
  12. Think we have the squad to take both seriously tbh, Also I feel like the boys play better when the matchdays are closer together can carry momentum from one game to the next
  13. Buriram managed by former Newcastle Jets coach, Arthur Papas, currently 4th in the Thai League with 4 wins and 3 draws. Conditions are going to be tough with it looking like it will be humid and wet in Thailand. Ideally we go for a win but a point will not be the worse result in the world.
  14. TBH I think Talbot was pretty good against WU and Hall is a downgrade still on any of Good, Nuno and Souprayen. Despite the penalty against Zhejiang I thought Souprayen had a good game so would like him to get a chance to start tbh.
  15. After a couple days here are my thoughts, Thought the midfield and forward line looked fine, can see them gelling together a bit more, Jakolis end product isn't great but hoping that comes with more and more consistent games, Natel looks exciting & Arslan looks like a JWM contender. main issue was the defence, they looked very vulnerable, even Good who has been such a consistent player didn't have the best game. Watching the post match conference Rado mentioned that the defense was not up to par so it is good that has been identified
  16. He was part of the photoshoot for the new kits last week https://x.com/MelbourneCity/status/1710196179018109377?s=20
  17. Will no longer be the AFC Cup! Will be rebranded to the "Asian Champions League 2" (yes that is its real name) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024–25_AFC_Champions_League_2
