  1. That's what I came in here to ask. Genuinely bummed to hear this news.
  2. Do we put our scarves up when Oakland is mentioned or Sacramento? That's why I said instrumental. The song would be perfect if not for that pesky Califorinia business.
  3. Shame they probably won't be coming to Morwell again. We did our dash with the poor tuenout for the regional round clash I think. In Morwell's defense (never thought I'd say that) it was against Wellington.
  4. How about an instrumental of California Love by 2 Pac and Dr Dre? Would be sweet if we could get active to sing along to the "In the City" bit.
  5. So, is this some way of getting around the salary cap or are we just going to be getting all over NYCFC's hand me downs? Not sure I like that. If the hand me downs are players like Lampard and Villa, I'm cool with that Can't argue with that. Still wish we'd get Lampard and loan him to New York.

  7. That really makes no sense whatsoever but the thing is I still know what you are talking about You'd be surprised how often I hear that. XD
  8. Anyone else hoping for an Xbox 360 theme? I think a Manchester City one is available and adding New York and Melbourne ones would be a good way to market the new/rebranded franchises. Also, when are those T-Shirts going to be available to buy?
  9. Are A-league clubs still allowed to also field a state league side? Seems like a pretty simple solution if possible. Otherwise this is a grasshopper and the ant situation a.k.a the original "Winter is Coming."
  10. So we have the cross now all we need is Jesus! *gets struck by lightning*
  11. League. He's taking a break after the WC Bugger. I want so baldy for us to win the inaugural FFA Cup.
  12. Nice to see our City isn't trying to take the other City's identity but why can I see them pushing until they get stripped of it anyway?
  13. Man, that looks incredible. I would have preferred it to be sky blue and red but still. Me too. Anyways. That would definitely bring all the boys to the yard... Whatever that means.
  14. I don't speak for everyone here cause I'm new but while they could have just bulldozed everything and started again they incorporated some of Heart's identity into the rebranding so I'm happy. I hope over the years they allow New York and Melbourne to add local flair to their teams like some orange on the NYFC their jersey and some red on ours. If CFG have got the approval for the name change through, good luck with that. Interesting that comments had been made in a report that the name issue had been rectified with the Vic state League side, yet we still see this. EDIT: Further to this, ASIC appears to show the name as Registered to MHFC Holdings. https://connectonline.asic.gov.au/RegistrySearch/faces/landing/bn/SearchBnRegisters.jspx?_adf.ctrl-state=wt64nolmf_4 I'm guessing that they hadn't registered the name as they are just a small club, and as soon as they caught wind of Heart becoming City, they shit themselves and tried to register it, but by that time they were too late. I doubt their legal battle will go anywhere, money talks and they don't have much of that, comparatively speaking of course. Spot on. My mum works for ASIC so I asked her about the situation and she said that the other MCFC may be operating under a federation. My stepfather was a life member and treasurer at Traralgon City Soccer Club and they operated under a federation. Still if they haven't applied for the trademark they'd be pushing shit up hill to fight CFG on this one. Even more so if they aren't under a federation and have been doing business without an ABN. Anyway, pretty stoked by today's announcement. Always wanted to see a team in the A-League called City and one with a white home jersey and my team now has both. Clever way to deal with the Sydney FC clash. I really hope we draw them in the FFA Cup. Also, that logo is choice. There are common law trademarks as well, you don't necessarily have to register a trademark. Having said that, no idea how strong a case that gives you. Not really sure. I'm just dreading CFG sending them a cease and desist and our frienemies in the media trying to tell us to be outraged about it.

  16. He thinks he's holding an Atlético Madrid shirt and will be playing back in Spain on a guest 10 game stint T/shirt is cool. We must start a whale thread. or a campaign to replace ticker with a whale mascot. Or an actual whale. Get the little kids to chuck water on it to keep it fresh I'm guessing Under the Red and White is out too. Man, I must have listened to that song... Twice.
