  1. You need to charge your phone...
  2. Hang on, are you saying you would encourage buying merch of another club because of its colour?
  3. The great thing about today's result for me is the timing. Having our first pre-season win against HAL opposition in our last hit-out before the season proper, should really have them full of confidence for Round 1. IMO, everything is falling into place nicely. Can't wait!
  4. Not sure if we have enough midfielders starting..........
  5. no idea how to quote a twitter post but yes there is a match on today https://twitter.com/PerthGloryFC/status/515012702767288321 Cheers mate!
  6. There was talk at the family day of a game today vs another HAL side (Perth?). Does anyone know if this is actually happening?
  7. I don't think that's right. I'm sure as soon he steps past that white line, you'll see someone as eager as to put goals away....
  8. Well that would be a pretty standard match report for us. Is Willo injured, he doesn't seem to have had much game time. I've been wondering about Williams. He hasn't played a match for a couple of weeks. Did he train before Family Day on Sunday? Given that Villa is yet to arrive, and Kennedy (assuming) probably won't arrive until December/January, we're going to need the likes of Williams to chip in with goals in the first part of next season. Waiting on a detailed match report. Scorelines and Twitter updates can be so misleading. Going off all I've heard though, it sounds like the team dominated possession from the off, despite the team being pretty much thrown together for this game. Brown reportedly peppered the goal for most of the game, and the goal came before HT with Retre scoring after the keeper batted away a shot from Brown. Paartalu played 45 minutes, and was reportedly solid. And then in the second half it was more of the same, dominating possession with shots now and again. Although the forward line of Retre, Brown and Dekker, and then some other trialists in the second half, couldn't get through Pascoe Vale's stubborn defence, which was apparently about the best in the NPLV. And that just shows something we already knew: that the likes of Retre, Brown and Dekker altogether won't cut it at A-League level, and we'll need to have some superior forwards come the start of the season. I thought in the first half they probably took that one pass too many when they could have taken a good shot earlier. Towards the end of the first half (the goal) and through the second half, they started to shoot more, with Brown, Prelevic and Melling all having a dip and coming close - though the Pascoe Vale defence did sat back more. Brown looked dangerous and certainly has a great turn of speed when he uses it, but also in a game like this, he really did need to hit the scoreboard. Melling looked ok and the Hoff was good too. Velaphi wasn't called on often, but did a good job when needed - including one really fine save to deny an equaliser. I just think it wasn't a game to really take that much out of given our team was stacked with triallists and guys not in the starting XI.
  9. Going from the list, either James or Millar?
  10. yup... ok so hoff is off now, along with Melling. Zinni and not sure of other one on.
  11. Hoffman still on. Maybe an indication they'll start Germano on Friday?
  12. Spot on me thinks, especially with the bigger game on Friday coming up. You can't draw any parallel whatsoever between this game and what we'll see in round 1. Not a bad game none the less. Nice seeing Brown start to get involved.
  13. Yes and no. Doesn't seem any different to me. did you get your pin/ key ring whatever it is if so can you upload a pic of what it looks like Yep. It's just a light blue key ring, nothing very special but nice to have. Also says number of years a member. Will try and take a pic when i get home.. if i remember!
  14. Yes and no. Doesn't seem any different to me.
  15. Yeah agree with you mate and just frustrated. Can't wait for the real thing to start!
  16. How many of you were actually at the family day today? I saw hundreds of people there. A shitload wearing white and blue, plenty in red and white and whole lot in white, blue and red. We're all together now - and that's how we move forward as a club. Yes, people have every right to feel peeved at what was lost.... and people also have every right to voice an opinion when they believe we have now gained something! This argument around Man City's intentions? Well our numbers are higher than ever and the season hasn't even started. So the fact is people will come to watch us more now... Time to move forward now. Just get behind the club.
  17. Just a rolled ankle. Hope it's just that. He had both shoes on, made me think it was his knee - even though he said it was an ankle.
  18. He's such a professional - I don't doubt he'll be ready to fire from his first day. Can't see him treating this as just a kick-around holiday.

    Aaron Mooy

Ha nice. It's my boy's birthday today too and Mooy is one of his favourite players - even though he doesn't know it's his birthday too. He'll be pumped when I tell him!
  20. Exactly. This is a fine example of the power behind us now. What great news!
  21. Just a stupid comment. Hahahaha, if we had a thumbs down button you'd have been pressing it furiously It's clearly about where you stand on the take over. Some people felt, and probably still do, that it's wiped the Red&White and their hard work and emotional energy, and created a new club in the colours of our new masters - and they're not still happy. Others have moved on and accepted the new 'deal' as necessary for growth and success. I wait and see but there's no turning back to the good old days. Ha yep, absolutely That's fine and definitely see where you are coming from... and agree it's about where people are still positioned on this. Just thought it was a crap comment that was a bit too far and unnecessary in the context of what you were saying.
