  1. Yeah and that player should be Clisby. Sign a (preferably visa) left back and then have clisby on the bench who can play centre back or left back
  2. As it stands we barely have a defense. Our back for would probably be Franjic Kisnorbo Chapman Clisby. And only Hoffman as depth. No centre backs or left backs at all, even Garuccio who can play there but is a natural winger is injured. If Chapman or Kisnorbo cop an injury we're in big trouble
  3. The colours of blue and red, after all they are our colours along with white.
  4. Similar to Hoffman, he's been tweeting about Melbourne City recently such as looking forward to versing Sydney in round 1, so it looks like he's staying
  5. Just a prediction or do you know something we don't?
  6. I've had the champaign on ice for weeks waiting for confirmation, these hints are getting me on edge. Just get rid of him already. Mass has also changed his twitter bio from saying plays for Melbourne City to plays for Avondale
  7. Round 2 derby crucial for memberships and attendances. If we can convincingly outplay and beat the tards hopefully those that are on the fence will sign up
  8. We need to sign a GK, a LB, a CB, a RW, a ST, announce the re-signing of Novillo, Velaphi and (hopefully but unlikely) Germano.
  9. The argument of Koren underperforming because he was playing out of position astounds me. He had is chance and played there a few times and did absolutely nothing. The reason he was chucked on a wing was because he wasn't good enough to play in midfield, being outclassed by young Australian players on a fraction of his wage. Even if Koren played out of position 100% of the time he can still show his class rather than being invisible on the pitch.
  10. Anyone know how many we had at the end of day 1 last year?
  11. I wonder if we're going to announce a big signing when the memberships are released, maybe Maclaren or the visa GK from England?
  12. one down Good work Nostradamus! Shame the Corey Gameiro thread was made 9 days before you posted your "prediction". Haha fair play. But in all seriousness i never "predicted", i already knew it. 3 to go Before I get too excited how sure are you that koren is leaving?
  13. "There's no other club in the A-league with these facilities and that's 100% fact" You can already tell that CFG's investment into La Trobe is paying off
  14. Is the only difference between them that mf2 is blue at the top where it says Melbourne football? Mainly, i think there were 1 or two other small things. Yeah I prefer mf2
  15. Is the only difference between them that mf2 is blue at the top where it says Melbourne football?
  16. I reckon it's Schwarzer, not sure on his contract status but is the number 2 at Leicester
  17. I tend to agree with this but I would add a couple of provisos: he is still young and most of our visa players tend to be of the ageing variety with varying degrees of quality/impact; he would be a great ambassador for the CFG in SE Asia, thus expanding the marketability of the clubs. Honestly, who gives a shit about marketability and being an ambassador for asia just sign whoever will help us win more football games regardless of race. And fwiw he is better then germano Was about to give you a like until I read that last sentence. Germano is so much better.
  18. knowing our luck Franjic will get injured tonight
  19. The big fact is that after 10 years, the Champion has always finished first or second, proof that to be Champion, you need to be first or second after home and away. So no, you won't be champion by winning 2-3 games from 3-6th. And you still have the issue of the challenge not being the same across the season for all teams. Its not as manipulated as the AFL draw, but its not an equal draw either. H and A works overseas because teams play each other twice. Here we don't. Here's a solution: Every team verses each other 4 times, 2 at home and 2 away. It's a fairer fixture, longer season and shorter off season!
  20. Not really fair to use the dude as injury replacement more than once. He worked hard last time and seemed pretty passionate about the club. Either reward him with a visa spot or thats the end of it. But it would be his choice? If City wanted him and offered Saf the contract then Saf obviously has the choice to say no if he feels it's unfair.
  21. Jeez, Saf is way better than Germano. Disagree. Don't get me wrong Saf impressed me and I would sign him in a heartbeat if he didn't require a visa player, but Germano is a lot better. The last 6? or so games he played he was always our second best player on the pitch behind Mooy
