  1. Nothing shady here. It wasn't easy for me to support a team in red and white stripes but I accepted it. I see it a nice traditional strip used by many clubs around the world and even bought my son and nephew home strips. I have supported Heart from the beginning through the small highs and huge lows and I am looking ahead finally with some optimism to the future of this club now known as Melbourne City but will always be the known as Heart as well. As for my username. Never really liked Heart and much prefer City. I wanted Sporting Melbourne or Melbourne City in the beginning. I also prefer the new badge.
  2. Would probably prefer Eto'o because he is younger, but Drogba would still be an animal in the a league. Can you imagine David Villa, Drogba, Duffman front three?
  3. I do but am happy that City have bought our club and get it to were it deserves to be. If we however have sky blue home kits then I will be torn.
  4. Umm why you have thrown Panathinaikos in there, what does that have to do with anything? Interested what would your thoughts be if instead of sky blue, someone came and tried changing our kit to all green? I for one would love to have had an all green kit like Pao. Never liked the red and white stripes
  5. I am not so sure about that Murf. I seem to think that Sidwell and the board were hellbent on getting a foreigner as the inaugural coach and only offered Ange the assistant role. But you are right we might have won a championship or two under him. He is a great coach and in fact the best coach that I ever had. His best asset back then was the confidence he instills in his teams, and there is no doubt that he is a much better coach now.
  6. So if the home strip comes with white shorts and socks, you will have something similar to Real Madrid.
  7. I think some of us felt (and many have expressed) that we had become stale, lacked ambition and needed some sort of rebranding with new owners to take this club forward. While some people don't like some of the new changes, there is no doubt that our new owners are ambitious with an eye on youth development, big marques and playing an attractive and attacking game, something that has been lacking the past couple of seasons. We will no longer be a club looked down upon by others and instead seen as the new powerhouse in this league and feared and admired by those same supporters. Maybe not admired by our tard neighbours though but definitely feared. I can smell it already. Of course words will mean nothing until we win titles but I am optimistic now that we have a much better chance to see this club of ours rise to the top and eventually become the biggest team in this country.
  8. Samuel Eto'o or Xavi anyone, seeing as though Lampard looks NYFC bound.
  9. Nothing wrong with sheep as we are all God's children or sheep if you will. Much better than having Satan's goat in our emblem. God bless you all and have a nice day.
  10. We are already favourites with the bookies for next season's title. Wait till we finalise our squad and watch the odds tumble. I am certain our home strip will be with white shorts and socks.
  11. Exactly my thoughts. Inaugural manager still in charge. Hoffman will still be playing ffs. Same team, just on steroids.
  12. As Big Kev use to say I'm excited!! Like the name, playing strips and delighted to have David Villa gracing our shores, if only for 10 games. Can't wait to see who our 2 marquees will be. Also I don't think I've seen so many people on this forum at once. Good times ahead and I'm sure the tards are quaking in the boots.
  13. Both Kennedy and Bresciano seem too injury prone for my liking.
  14. One of my oldest memories was watching Pele tear it up at a World Cup. Very impressive player, I wouldn't sign him in 2014 though Sounds like a good player this Pele you talk about. I hear his son is in a bit of trouble lately.
  15. Samaras is neither Austrian or an abomination like that transvestite which won Eurovision.
  16. I always thought that Williams was better on the right, just like his days at the Fury.
  17. Demetriou was on sen this morning and said that he had options going forward but none were with any sporting organisations and was more likely to join a couple of boards and remain out of the spotlight. He might be a good admistrator but I wouldn't want that prick joining us. Would rather John O'Neill than the man who did everything to undermine our World Cup bid.
  18. Postecoglou has said that Williams was the best player he coached in the aust youth teams. Has yet to fulfil his potential and his touch at times drives me mad. Needs to work on his first touch and composure in front of goals and then maybe Ange might consider him in future socceroo squads. He kills it with his pace in fifa 14!
  19. After seeing Mooy play for wsw in his first season with them I thought that he was the best Aussie midfielder in the a league. Milligan and Bratten seemed to have better seasons this year, but am confident that he will recapture the form from the previous season. In any case I think that he is a terrific signing by the club.
  20. Drogba is set to leave Galatasaray.
  21. Or because a bunch of Greeks decided to show a bit of faux nationalistic pride and hijacked the poll. Fuck, I highly doubt fans of any of the clubs in the top half of La Liga would want Samaras to play for them, let alone Barcelona. You highly doubt do you? Why don't you google Samaras Barcelona and poll and read one of many articles on this topic. Some of the other players in the poll include Klose, Trezeguet and Roque Sante Cruz just to name a few, and if you still think that Greeks hijacked the poll then that shows your complete hatred of anything Greek. In any case Samaras will join a bigger club than Heart especially if he has a good World Cup. For me seeing as though he is only 29, the Heart hierarchy would be derelict in their duty if they didn't at least speak to him about the Aussie marque spot. He is 10 times the player that Josh Kennedy is and ever will be. And you say this poll was a few months ago? Are you sure it wasn't 2006? The average age of those players is 34... October 2013

No. Heart of Melbourne is an Olympiakos fan whereas I am a Panathinaikos fan, but I agree with him in regards to Samaras. Let's see how he performs at the World Cup .
