  1. One thing I liked was this quote in the article. Hopefully it rings true “It is also very important to me that fans can feel proud of how we play, and that they will enjoy the whole experience watching the game.
  2. I remember reading an article that next season will be 26 games. The reason it stuck in my memory is that you need to play 27 competitive matches to qualify for the champions league and that finals matches and ffa cup count.
  3. Looks like we are playing a friendly on Sunday https://mobile.twitter.com/ScottJamieson/status/1047697506765664256?s=09
  4. From the world of football last night on SEN Valkanis talking about our pre season and tonights game. Made the point that they worked the players really hard in Townsville which left them tired for the Wellington game Listen to Michael Valkanis Interview by World of Football #np on #SoundCloud https://soundcloud.com/worldfootballau/michael-valkanis-interview-1

  6. Looks like we are playing a pre season game against Wellington Phoenix in Townsville
  7. Yeah makes for a very very long work day
  8. Here is an interview with our other ass man Joe Montemurro from world of football last night Listen to Joe Montemurro in the studio by World of Football #np on #SoundCloud https://soundcloud.com/worldfootballau/joe-montemurro-in-the-studio
  9. I think the change of heart by the FFA on our colours is by City bringing in Cahill and a big marquee player for this season so they get a big boost in TV ratings so the FFA can negotiate a big TV rights deal.

You must of had a good team going in FM14
  11. From Melbourne City website looks like visa players will be back training in a fortnight. John van’t Schip and his new look coaching team got back to work on the Academy Pitches as the side’s Elite Pitch is resurfaced ahead of its gruelling schedule. Senior Assistant Michael Valkanis and Assistant Joe Montemurro took the reins during the opening session as the boys got the ball rolling before the intense conditioning sessions in the coming week. A raft of new faces hit the pitch in City colours for the first time on Monday with Manny Muscat, Bruce Kamau and Daniel Arzani meeting their new teammates for the first time. A number of NPL and NYL players will also join the pre-season squad as John van’t Schip prepares the group for its first practice matches towards the end of July and the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32. With a long four month pre-season ahead, a range of international representatives and visa players will make their return to the training track in the coming fortnight as they return to Melbourne to begin their 2016/17 journey. 15. Would be great if we can keep him under the cap for next year but agree if he has a low minimum release clause then we should make him marquee for next season. As we will have to when his contract runs up as every other A league club will be lining up to make a proven goal scorer their marquee.
  16. I think with Tando being allowed to leave and be replaced by Bouzanis could have something to do with making more salary cap space to sign another player. As Tando would have been on more than minimum wage as he was our number 1 last year when he signed a new contract. With Bouzanis he would be happy to sign for minimum wage.
  17. I hope that ref is not one of the full time professional refs
  18. I don't understand the game like most on here but why instead of trying to hold onto the ball did we sit back and try to defend the game out. Also not that we miss him anywhere else but we miss Paartalu defending set pieces and the high ball into the box
  19. I agree I think they misread the standard of the A League with the players that they brought in the frist transfer window. But since then most of the players have at least be capable of the A League standard.
