For me we need our fullbacks have to be able to play both ways. That's why I was pretty chuffed signing Franjic and Zullo. They obviously both had injuries issues which prevented from reaching their optimal peak but regardless they are both still quality attacking fullbacks. Apart from injury the way we set up last season was also all over the shop. We went from a 433 to a period of 352 then we played with a 442 both flat and diamond veriation. And all with a transient back line. It wasn't until Wilkinson and Kisnorbo paired together when our defence was stabilized and allowed our fullbacks the opportunity to play more pro actively. Now we've lost Wilkinson Kisnorbo and Zullo. All for me bona-fide starting players. Not offering Zullo a new contract is very bizarre. Muscat and Clisby are not and should not be regarded as starting players and Garrucio should only be considered at LB in certain set ups and not thought of as designated fullback. Just don't like it. Not one bit.

Very true. But don't we then have to wait till july when the transfer window opens because he is still contracted to us. Thats a good 6 weeks.

Who do suggest will replace Zullo? As already mentioned the available left backs are pretty lean. Zullo when fit was quality. Problem last season that wasn't enough. He won't be easily replaced.

So we've lost Wilkinson and Zullo. Great. They need to be replaced with as good if not better replacements. Really can't see us using 2 visas spots in the defence. Man this is bad news.

Was really good. I didn't take part on Tuesday just tonight. It was good that the discussions were quite open and we were free to discuss whatever. Now lets see what comes from this. But at the end of the day it's better than nothing.

Last season we began the year with a depleted line lineup and dropped valuable points which ultimately cost us in the run home. It still freaks me out that newcastle game leading 2:0 and copping 3. We started with Kuzi and Williams. If CFG have learnt anything surely this must be the most important starting point. Have most of the list finalized well before the first round. There are no excuses we have the longest offseason ever. Sure you can reassess in January but that should be as last resort. So we need all the Marquee spots and Visa spots locked in prior to round 1 and maybe a guest spot as a cherry. It's unforgivable anything less.
