  1. Assuming JMac signs with us; how does he compare v Bruno? Ignoring the current problems, how does JMac fit in with our current structure / play? I don’t think he’ll bring the magic that Bruno does, but will JMac bring goals with our current team?
  2. I'm not one to complain, but even the kids were underwhelmed with the packs this year. The junior packs had: crappy little backpack fridge magnet membership pin Bruno poster to measure their height What's worse - my membership pack has 5 kids and 2 adults - they sent me 3 of the kids packs this week and the rest (I'm assuming) will arrive next week. try coming home from work and only handing out 3 kids packs watching the other 2 sulk.... then they ALL got stuck into the club complaining about what's missing from their membership pack. You lot would have been proud of how well these kids got stuck in to City.....
  3. Lads, help an old man with 5 young kids - doesn't anyone know if the footbridge behind aami park is open yet? I think it's called Morrell Bridge? thanks
  4. Yep, I got it yesterday - also haven't done anything with it. Waiting to see what our team looks like before I sign the family up again.....
  5. Re the Identity discussion, and I don't travel so I don't know, hence the question - when we talk identity, if the only thing any a-league club has is geography....is this also true aorund the world, what distinguishes clubs in Europe that are based in the same city? e.g. Manchester United v Manchester City - 2 clubs, 1 city, what's their geographical distinction or their 'identity'? same with Inter Milan and AC Milan? Athletico Madrid and Real Madrid? the list goes on and I'm sure more knowledgable people than me could list more....but what makes a kid go for Man U v Man City, AC Milan v Inter Milan etc etc
  6. How are you going to cope with Friday night? If we win tonight and we have a chance to win it all on Friday night I don't think I'll be able to cope. Contemplating putting the kids to bed early and watching from home rather than going!!
  7. I'm disappointed lads, I would have thought someone on this site would have worked out why the hell he was subbed at half time. This forum is the source for all my gossip and makes me appear smarter at work on Monday's..... Unless someone comes up with something soon, all I'll be saying tomorrow is....
  8. Good call Dylan - I'm there with my 3 daughters. Amazingly the introduction of the women's Melbourne City team is the reason my daughters gave up dance and started playing football this year!!
  9. I think it's a combination of both - no question there are idiots in the crowd, but every sport has their degree of idiots, be it AFL, NRL, cricket etc etc. The media clearly goes looking for our idiots with a lot more viger than other idiots. We just have to stop giving them ammunition and our idiots need to smarten up or piss off
  10. I took a guy from work last night to his first football match in Australia. He's only been in the country for a year spending his life in Portugal supporting Porto all his life. I didn't tell him anything about the team, our players etc etc In his broken English on the way home he tells me - you're number 6 is slow, shit and can't hold the ball. You're number 8 is AMAZING Thought that was ironic for someone who loves football and his view of our team
  11. New Nike jackets are brilliant! No different to the Socceroo Nike jackets, but at least they look and wear so much better than last years jumpers
  12. Whilst you enjoy watching Redmayne destroy another club, you're torn because it's helping Aloisi
  13. Am I missing something, or does this kid have 30,000 followers on Instagram? What's that about?
