  1. Awful game, marginally better than Colacovski at best.
  2. Cheers for the feedback! Keen to get some further inspiration/ideas so I'll give those two a listen and see how they do it. We're in a weird situation because it's a radio call and I believe SEN (understandably) wish us to call it as such, but I feel like the targeted audience is probably going to fall more towards those who will still watch the game but want an alternative to Fox's offerings. We're watching on a fox sports feed and broadcasting with no delay as far as I'm aware, so it's probably the standard Fox to Kayo delay (about 15-20 seconds I think?). Unless you're streaming our feed, then it may be a little worse.
  3. We'll have an audio call of tonight's game from around 7pm on SEN Track! Online link is here: https://www.sen.com.au/listen-live-track/
  4. I'd rather live in Glen Waverley, Mt Waverley, Oakleigh etc and drive 20 minutes to work every day in Dandenong than do the same from Reservoir, Thomastown, Epping, South Morang etc to Bundoora.
  5. Except that unlike Delboi there's actually no substance to the Griffiths concerns. He's only been sent off twice in his entire career (Deboi has six sendoffs), and I'm pretty sure at least one of those was for a second yellow. At his current age and physical profile I feel like Rostyn is much more suited to playing as a centre half anyway. Playing in central/defensive midfield results in substantially more play occurring either alongside or behind you, whereas as a central defender you are often positioned behind the play, making his declining speed/athleticism less of a factor. He reads the play well, is adept at winning the ball and is also excellent in the air. As @bt50 stated, if it weren't for quarantining during last season he likely would've been our starting defender for the rest of the season, he was performing quite well in the role.
  6. Such an on-brand signing for that club. Bloke's a hatchet man.
  7. For all of WU's strengths going forward they're an absolute comedy show defensively. I'd love to play them again in the finals.
  8. No insider information on this one unfortunately. I feel like there's probably a number of unannounced deals at our club and throughout the league (like Rostyn's) that have been signed but could be subject to change depending on the effect COVID-19 has on the following season.
  9. New (under the cap) contract please.
  10. As much as I hate to say it....I think we all know what the big difference is, and perhaps that difference was more competent than any of us ever wanted to admit.
  11. They're gonna be cooked for a couple of seasons I think. As much as I hate him, Muscat clearly was a pretty good A-League manager and managed to consistently keep whatever squad was thrown at him around the top of the table. There's every chance their next manager(s) are nowhere near that level, and I can't see their usual carousel of ex-players running back to help out a team hovering around 6th place.
  12. Hi Guys, Our SEN interview with Brad Rowse is up on Podcasting channels now! One of the very few times he's actually spoken to the media, enjoy
  13. Hi Guys, Know we've been a bit slack with the updates here lately! Tuesday's SEN ep is up on Podcasting channels now. A really good chat with Sue Crow and Michael Petrillo.
  14. I'd love Leckie, but we'd need to make room for him if we were to bring him in, more so than the Tards. Noone and Jamie are still on the books and as such will likely start in their current positions next season, I would also like to keep Susaeta (under the cap). If those moves eventuate our biggest need is a #10, and Leckie isn't one of those.
  15. Nabbout and Leckie could easily play #9 in the A-League. There's also every chance Rojas fucks off to sit on a bench in Europe again.
  16. They'll have fuck all players on their books by the end of the season, makes sense.
  17. I personally struggled with the change at first, especially as it was enforced. I was pretty insistent there was as much red present in Melburnians branding as possible (I wasn't the only one tbf), but over time I've come to accept the change and have more or less moved on. Making new and special memories in the City Blue definitely assisted with that. Game of opinions obviously, but I quite like sky blue as a colour. I was always quite fond of Coventry's kits when I was younger, and then Man City's when they got into the EPL in the early 2000s. Personally, I'd prefer if we had a predominantly white kit with elements of the blue though, whether it be stripes or a sash. I think they're doing a much better job of embracing the past in the last 12 months tbh. A lot of the social media activity on both Twitter and Facebook has featured Heart goals/moments, and they even tried some cute regular posts like Mifsud Mondays or Terra Tuesdays (I think it was Terra). The Heart celebration game this season was a home run too, IMO. I can't speak for the FIFA stuff, I don't play it and I'm not sure who makes those final decisions. But it feels like the people involved locally are doing their best to bridge that gap recently.
  18. As the league expands and grows there will be many more teams (in addition to the ones that already exist) who play in colours that aren't directly tied to a state or town/city flag. Are WSW any less NSW because they play in Black and Red? Brisbane play in the maroon of QLD as much as we play in the Red and White of Melbourne. We've played in Blue/White for more than half of our existence now, I totally get the attachment to red and white but we're not going to change and people might as well get used to it. The only impact (if any) that the voting could potentially have at head office is reminding them that the fans are quite fond of the red and white kit making an appearance every year as either a 2nd or 3rd option. To be totally honest, I think this season should be the template moving forward; have the red and white as a 3rd strip and dedicate one game a season as a heritage or 'heart' round.
  19. Agree. Hinds is an absolute stain, and he's nowhere near as funny as he thinks he is.
  20. Well, he's guaranteed to get us into Asia and a Grand Final now.
  21. It might end up being neither of the two IMO. Luna's biggest contribution to the side is his tireless pressing when we're out of possession, Metcalfe and Genreau don't necessarily offer that. I wouldn't be surprised to see Wales deployed in that role.
