  1. I'm not so sure the Nationality of the manager should matter as much as the long-term plan for the NT. Shanaga made some good points but I don't think those coaches (outside of possibly Ange, and even then, he's relatively untested at a higher level than the A-League) are quite up to the standard of what our National Team needs NOW. I agree that the future should be a high priority for our NT but that shouldn't be any different for any National Team. What we should be looking at is; the best coach available outside of the journey-men (like Guus). A bloke like Guus probably doesn't care as much about long-term security for the team, likely because he is often utilized as a Mr.Fix-It or a bloke who'll drag the team over the line to qualification. What we need is a coach who is willing to be locked into the National Team job for the next 4-5 years and who is given a target of assisting the transition of the next generation to the fore of the NT. I don't have any specific names but that's just my two cents.
  2. My first game in the both AAMI and the Active Area (first year member) so I'm looking forward to it! Still learning a few of the chants so bear with me lads haha Looking forward to going crazy and supporting the boys!
  3. Was pretty frustrated with Hoff to be honest. Paine was terrorizing him all night and he was constantly being caught out of position, not a great game for him at all.
  4. Don't want to be too hard on Golgol but if Mifsud was playing on Saturday I can't help but feel we would have had at least two goals. Those counter-punches we were throwing at the Victory showed quite a lot of potential but Golgol lacked the speed and the touch to really capitalize on the chances, Michael is pretty suited to that style of play.
  5. And Mifsud, Scicluna, Azzopardi, et al. Pointless discussion. Bonnici Galea Cini Xerri Baldacchino Agius Portelli Just a few off the top of my head haha.
  6. Eisfeld scored but his game was actually quite poor, especially for someone who has looked so positive in the past. Was actually good to see Bendtner back, he has his problems but he's a decent footballer, the assist for Eisfeld was class.
  7. System of a Down and Rob/White Zombie are personal favorites of mine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoMePNDh-BE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqQuihD0hoI
  8. The Offspring http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SO0Iia3en2Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vxudx5Nbxks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oXkbP4KD8E
  9. Haven't scrolled through the entire top so forgive me if I'm rehashing over old ground... Do we have any other Tempa T fans here? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZ6G7qwjom4
  10. Absolutely love Flamini, was thrilled to see him return. I hope that rumour is true, it's been a while since we've had a player who would put the fear of god into the opposition if they bundled through his team-mates, great stuff. On a side note, myself and a mate run an Aussie Arsenal Podcast and invite you all to have a listen at some stage, can find us here: http://gunnersdownunder.podomatic.com/
  11. Haha don't worry mate, I'm there to support the team more than any one player! If I can't bring the flag it's not a massive concern at all Looking forward to the first game!
  12. Too true Red. Will bring it along to the first game Mifsud plays in for us and see what happens
  13. Spot on, the Flag I actually have though is the National one. Is it worth bringing it, would I get myself evicted? If it's going to cause trouble I won't do it, but if the repercussions are simply me being asked to put it away somewhere then I might give it a go. Not too worried either way to be honest, just wanted to show Michael a bit of support
  14. Can't stand Joey Barton to be honest, that being said, he's a quality footballer.
  15. Oh, are they banned? Would it cause any strife if I bought it along, or would the worst outcome be that I'm asked to put it away?
  16. Been a Heart fan since their inception so I'll definitely stay beyond that!
  17. I've got the red and white 'Maltese Cross' flag already being sent over from my family in Malta. Looming forward to seeing him wear a different feed and white jumper this season I've got a large Maltese national flag hanging in my room, so it looks like I'll be bringing that to games this season Absolutely thrilled with his signing, I've been following his career closely for ages, hoping he'd one day consider coming down and playing for the Heart!
  18. Hey Everyone! As you can probably all tell from my username, I have some Maltese blood flowing through my veins, and for anyone that has not seen Mifsud play, I can tell you that he is a very good striker. He held his own in the very physical English Championship whilst playing for Coventry and was voted the best international player in the league during his time at Lillestrom. He's still got that awesome pace which has made him so dangerous and has a real killer instinct around the goal. With players like Aziz and Harry delivering the ball to him he will likely be one of the top scorers in the league this season. Just a side note, I signed up earlier this year as a member for the first time, and will be in the Active Support, looking forward to meeting some fellow Heart fans!
